Ritalin dosage question

I don't have much experience with methylphenidate but my friend siad he will give me his ritalin ER for free tommorow so I sAid why not. Last time I took to much and ended up feeling panicky. He's giving me 36mg pill of concerta.

I'm wondering if it's best to chew, parachute or just take orally. And also is this dose a good dose to not go flipping out. I have no tolerance and I'm also taking My daily 1200mg of gabapentin.

To answer your question, simply tell me how much it was that you took last time, and you can adjust from there.

I took around 72mg. Today I took 36mg along side gabapentin. If It wasn't for the gabpentin I would feel pretty anxious, so I'm glad I had that.

I'm going to a party this weekend. Haven't seen that much on the combo. But I'm thinking about mixing some alcohol+ritalin, heard it's very euphoric, have you had any experience with that combo?

Yessir, plenty of experience. I'm on the combo right now
Basically how I would put it is:
It allows you to become fairly drunk without being stupid.
I've had situations where I've drank more than my usual stopping point, while on ritalin, and I'm striving to have really intellectual conversations with other drunk people.
It also helps if (for some reason) you're trying to stay up long enough to not pass out while you're drunk.
As of right now, I'm just adding alcohol to the mix to help me cope with the ridiculous amount of studying I have to do.
It also helps in the sense that I can stay up long enough to hydrate myself properly before I turn in for the night and not have a hangover the next day.
However, be mindful that you must stay very, very hydrated, as both ritalin and alcohol dehydrate you severely. When I'm on the combo, I usually resort to chugging an absurd amount of water before going to sleep.
If I were you, I would take 36 mg or less at this party and drink until your usual limit.
For reference, I've been taking ritalin for about 14 years.
Don't push it, everyone is different.
Also, in regards to euphoria: Yes, it can add a sense of euphoria to the rather dull feeling of alcohol intoxication. After extended use of this combo, it just turns into a more "alert" drunk.
