Nature magazine is one of the world's most prestigious scientific journals.
Two years ago a group of seven leading bioethicists and neuroscientists published an editorial in the science journal Nature advocating the use of performance-boosting drugs as Ritalin. "Cognitive enhancement has much to offer individuals and society"

So I've decided to try Ritalin to improve school performance.
I would be very glad if someone that doesn't have add/adhd will share their experience and knowledge conserning some questions I have:

Dosage
How much do I take before I start reading for a test and/or before the actual test?

Precautions
Is there anything I should avoid or anything I SHOULD do before/under Ritalin usage?

Effect
How long does it take for the Ritalin to take effect?
How long will the enhancement last according to suggested dosage?
Can I pop another pill after the effects wear out or does this damage the brain?

I'll gladly read any additional tips on how to use this as effective and safe as possible.

NB: It's a scientific article. Not written by a 16-year old analphabet

Thx to all commentators, I appreciate it.

All of your questions can very easily be answered by using the Other Drugs Directory as well as the search engine. To use it more effectively, go to the search TAB next to the 'new posts' tab at the very top of every page and go to 'Advanced Search'. From here, play around with the search options such as 'search thread titles only' to find more specific information.
