RIP ChemicalSmiles aka Wayne Arndt on 10/8/2023

Unfortunately he passed away over a year ago now and I was only very recently able to confirm via his parents social media that he had actually passed away. I do not know any of the details about what happened or how he passed away, I just noticed all his account went quiet that day. I am actually surprised at the silence from the few people he had in his life at that time (from what I can see publicly) and I couldn't find any records online about it either...

ChemicalSmiles was honestly a legend on here for all the wrong reasons but he was a very active member for many years and I know he also felt like this place was his home (even if he didnt always treat bluelight and its members with the respect one should). Before being permanently banned from Bluelight he had one of the highest post counts on here, he could be so fucking hilarious, ultra ridiculous and was friends with a great number of bluelighters on and off the website. I also know that even in his last months he was striving for a balanced and healthy life.

My feelings about him are complicated to say the least. Many know we dated for 2 years and ran a pretty successful business during that time but it was far from a rainbows and sunshine experience but I will say that I was deeply saddened by how unmarked his passing seems to have been. To the point where I cannot even report the circumstances because there was no obituary, no posts on social media, nothing. That just did not sit right with me.

So Truly from the bottom of my heart, Wayne, I hope you have found Peace.

Damn I was actually just thinking about him the other day and what he's up to.

RIP Wayne...I'm really sorry to hear of your passing. You were a bright man with a lot of ambition under the hood. We worked closely together on an art project many years ago when Wayne was trying to launch his own music events business, something I really enjoyed and remember fondly. RIP man, thanks for the memories.

Wow, this is sad. :( . Wayne was around when I had first joined the site. Him and I were pretty close. He even sent me some goodies at one time.
Last time we spoke was when I found out that thou had passed away, and was reaching out to all of our mutual friends on Facebook to see if anyone knew anything and to just let them know, and when I spoke with Wayne he seemed like he was doing good, nothing really out of the norm. I think I asked him if he had wanted to come back to BL if I could make his name available again and he wasn't really interested, so he had moved on. Which a lot of people do, I understand.
Hin and I had some good times, and he was one of the original tinychat members, and I remember a time or two seeing neko in the clouds and wayne together on tinychat.

I really hate it that his parents and everyone was real quiet about this, not sure if he had a fallout with them but still. I mean when my brother passed we didn't list his name in the paper or do any of that so I can see maybe why.

Going to miss you Wayne, you were good people. & Right now I know you are kicking it with our other BL brethren and sisters up there. Tell dextermeth I said hello♥️

I never actually interacted wirh him on bluelight, we connected on Facebook during the covid pandemic, bonding over our shared disgust at antivaxers, anti maskers and deniers. He was incredibly talented and from the discussions we had, incredibly intelligent and quite hilarious. This really felt like a punch to my solar plexus when Neko told me.
