I just saw Phish this weekend and realized Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead past away 20 years ago today. Jerry helped usher in a whole subculture and great way to get down and enjoy life.
This thread started for reflection and tribute.

Does anyone have any views of the man, or the scene he helped create? I'll start. I dig him a lot, but some of his views were flawed. Not entirely his fault.
