holy shit, RIP. 
really sad news. "first born" is a really great hip hop album and eyedea was one of the best "battle" emcees out there. he's one of the very few rappers out there who rapped about Plato and philosophy in general. Nerdy rap ftw
Anyways, something tells me it was a suicide based on the direction his music took during the last few years. Totally different from his upbringing with Rhymesayers. This is pure speculation of course.

Very weird, as I had just downloaded his shit and started to talk about him with a friend who listened to him too, then he had to die a few weeks later. Sucks, he was an ill rapper.

Still nothing on how he died, I'm not sure if Eyedea did drugs or anything I would think he would of liked to party.
