A Bluelighter, a friend, and a kind heart to many of us passed away today, Thursday 25 February 2010. Many of us knew him as Kamikaze in the Indianapolis EDM scene.

I will let others fill in the blanks about his death and what happened.

Brad, you will be missed. Your words of encouragement last week really meant a lot to me. I wish I had gotten to know you better, but I'm glad that our last words together were very positive. <3

RIP buddy.

You will be missed severely bruv.
You had an energy that most of us could only wish to possess. You were always 100 percent you... and that will probably be what I always remember you best for.
You were always Kamikaze... to the fullest... unadulterated. Most people don't have the balls to be themselves... and that's all you were.
I'll always remember rocking out in Florida. Dropping mad bass here in Indy.
Big ups man... and I know you're up there floating on a cloud of 808 bass and watching down on the rest of us trying to figure out why we're so bugged out.

love, respect, bass.

I didn't really know him that well, outside of meeting him a couple times, but it always sucks to lose someone in the community.

<3 to all his friends and family.

RIP to the Ol' Dirty Bradster.

In the words of H.S. Thompson - There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production.

All my thoughts to his family in this time

Thoughts and Prayers to the family. Brad was always 100% Brad, Chris hit the nail on the head. So sad to see someone trying so hard to get their life together only to have it taken away prematurely. <3

I remember having the same sentiments about Chad. :(

If anyone needs info about the memorial service on Saturday, let me know.

You will be missed dearly Brad. Its been a great 13 years knowing you buddy, wish it was longer. You have changed me and my life more than anyone will ever know and I have you to thank for that. From making beats in your room on fruity loops when I first met you, spray painting the sign with ryan outside deer creek for our high school graduation, to eating lunch with you last weekend at La Ha, I will cherish and remember each and every moment I got to spend with/around you and use that as motivation to be a better person.

I love you man, keep things popping wherever you are until I get there <3

For those who don't already know, there's a tribute thing being thrown together at Tru by Kyle Cochran and some folks tonight. No cover.

Here's the info from the FB page....

SATURDAY, Febuary 26th, after his memorial service at 8115 Oaklandon Road, Indianapolis..or as he would say “Oaktown”; there will be an event at tru nightclub to celebrate the life and honor BRAD PIKE, a.k.a. DJ Kamikaze.
Tru Nightclub is located at 6235 Guildford Ave, in broad ripple Indianapolis.
This event will feature six DJ’s that held special relationships to Brad, some decades old, and some more new found.

There will be NO COVER CHARGE to deter anyone from attending, Jason Jasniski has graciously donated the use of his facility.

The doors open at 9:00 and the DJ’s will begin playing at 10:00

The schedule of djs will be as follows:

09:00 Doors Open
10:00 Sarah (Heartbreaker) Rogers
11:00 Kyle (Kid K) Cochran
12:00 Levi (Mindmaze) VanBlaricum
12:45 Andrew (Defi) Albright
01:30 Chris (Tha Doc)
02:15 Jimmy (Arsenic) Osborn

I hope to see all of you there to honor and celebrate Brad, especially those of you from the Indianapolis music scene, which he so undeniably left his mark on.

As Andy pointed out, this also represents a reunion of “Nu-Flavor”, notably without its founder, but he'll be spinning on wheels of gold in a better place..
Naptown UnderGround forever.... Brad, I love and miss you.

The event tonight at TRU was awesome. I enjoyed the sets from 12:45 on alittle better, but thats just preference. Had some awesome tunes. Good seeing some old people. Great cause. RIP
