2016, the year of death and stupidity. Half of you wont know Bernie Worrell, half of you wont care. Yeah, well, half of you voted Brexit too.
Bernie was God to George Clinton's God. Bernie did "Flashlight", probably the best nine minute funk tune ever made. Bernie held Funkadelic/Parliament together when having 32 people in a band proved a bit fractious. Bernie made his own great solo stuff. There's a whole catalogue out there to discover. Bernie played with Talking Heads on the Stop Making Sense tour. Bernie played with Keith Richards.
Bernie is dead, the day after this stupid referendum that has killed the UK.
Everything hurts. I can only find this shortened 6 minute version. Go buy the 12" vinyl.
