reusing gravity/waterfall bongs

So after reusing a two liter bottle several times for a waterfall bong the plastic starts to get yellow. i assume this is just from the smoke and since by the time the smoking gets into the bottle it has cooled off a bit and wouldn't be releasing any of the toxins in the plastic. but maybe i'm wrong so...

is there any reason to ever change the two liter bottle used for a waterfall bong? (other than it starting to smell/taste bad after a while)

Hmm they are cheap and can get really nasty...it will just taste like shit. What I've done in the past (miss making my waterfalls actually ) is just keep the top piece I made and use a new bottle every so often. I'm not sure if it's harmful per se, but it certainly does get pretty nasty.

Yeah I used to do what purple cloud said. I wouldn't worry about it the plastic too much, if you've made it properly it won't get hot enough to combust. Just change the bottle whenever you have an empty two liter lying around, that's what I'd do.

ok cool. yeah i made the top piece with the lid and my one hitter so i'll just keep that i guess.
