Results with E*-Test White

My friend tested three different samples of coke with the new EZ-Test white for cocaine. All test showed very high coke content butt he coke was actually crap. He got the impression that the tests allways shosws great results whenthe coke content rises above lets say 40-50%:|

I personaly have found these hard to judge. The color tint is so closely nitted on the chart, that it can be hard to differentiate between one another.

In my opinion this test is basically a waste of money, but I could say that for most pre-made/commercial tests. You can make your own test compounds and save a lot of money. For cocaine the cobalt thiocyanate test is probably the best one you perform on your own. The cocaine can then bee tested further with stannous chloride if need bee. Companies that produce tests like EZ Test etc are taking advantage of many unknowledgeable people. They state… “When you buy a really good quality sample that has, let's say 80% cocaine content which is really very good!) for $50 per gram, you are actually paying $62.50 per gram, based on 100% purity.” This is complete BS because nothing is ever 100% purity. Even pharmaceutical cocaine that is made via hydrolysis to give ecgonine and re-benzoylated/methylated doesn’t yield cocaine of 100% purity, but rather close. Cocaine that is extracted in the jungle labs is far from pure for many reasons… 70-85% purity (don’t confuse quality with quantity) is common. Also, many HCl labs in Columbia actually cut it somewhat before it’s pressed into kilo bricks and smuggled.

No. My friend had ALWAYS dark brown to black results.

I do not think its is possible to check the actual coke content of a sample with a simple test. There are too many different types of cuts....:(
 
I agree Vanlier, that's pretty much what I was jiving at. Glad you get decent blow, enjoy and be safe.
*I am usually a spectator of Advanced Drug Discussion, this seems like it might be more suitable for basic drug discussion?*

Yeah, basically the only way to perform definitive testing is to use GC/MS etc. I recently acquired a somewhat antiquated GC/MS unit for less than $1,000 and it works fine... they are out there if you look. Extracting your own cocaine is one of the most rewarding procedures in my opinion and dealing with things such as these will bee a thing of the past. ;)

GC-MS for under $1K that is impressive. I would expect a poor condition, basic GC for that ball park. not that I doubt such bargains do exist.
 
It's an Xtrell 310. This was obtained at a university auction that I go to often. Some hardcore bargains can be found here on many things. The amount of lab equipment at this auction is generally rather small compared to the other items and I guess most people didn't know what it was or they figured it was too much of a hassle to get home. Not too long ago I found a KNF oil free diaphragm pump (10 torr) for $100 at another location... the Chem Gods must bee watching over me or something. =D
