Research Chemicals - Are any superior to their current counterparts?

Hello,
i was checking out the RC Drug scene lately again, because to my surprise a friend of mine found a legit mariuana vendor. I have only ordered once 2CH (lab precursor) and 2CI like 7 years ago and still have the 2CI.
My second surprise was the recent agressive marketing of completly unknown analogues of known classes of drugs.
My question is, is there a research chemical that is superior to pharmaceutical grade
opiates, benzodiazepines, amphetamines, ketamine or even good quallity black market drugs like MDMA, LSD, 2CB or cocaine? I studied pharmacology in germany and have even access to a lab if i want to.
So am i missing out something very good, or is most of it hyped up shit that feels inferrior to the known stuff. I am more into downer mostly opiates, its a shame there is nothing more to get ahold of then o-desmethyl-tramadol. But a really nice stimulant drug like (meth)amphetamine is nice sometimes too.
I found some vendors, who seem to be legit, so i question if its worth the money compared to the "real" stuff?

Superiority is difficult to determine as it will depend on personal taste as well as unknown safety margins. I suppose one could argue that with the huge amount of undiscovered chemicals there are almost certainly some that would be considered completely superior to the current ones. Whether they are found and then worth producing or not is another issue.

Again personal taste. I like 2c-c more than LSD because it is much shorter and less intense. I don't use it often enough or in great enough quantities to worry about toxic effects and therefore it is in my mind superior.

Completely depends again on what you want. A quasi legal drug with an unstudied effects profile or a controlled but well studied drug.

I think this thread is going to turn into recommend RCs and discuss your favourites which is not appropriate for OD. The other option is an abstract discussion on the pros and cons of research chemicals and their existence filling a hole in society which also doesn't fit with this forum.

I'll send it over to Drug Culture for you but feel like this would have been discussed at depth over there.

If you're looking at RC's as 'counterparts' for established illegal or pharmaceutical drugs you're using a wrong approach. These are all drugs in their own right with their own pharmacology and effects. You should judge them by themselves.

That said, most RC's will be dissapointing compared to most illegal drugs but there are some that are pretty good. There's several tryptamines and phenethylamines that alot of people seem to like (like aMT). There's also MXE which is a dissociative structurally very similar to ketamine and many people seem to get a sort of subtle opiate-like from it.

Stimulant RC's are probably gonna be a letdown. There's a lot of cathinone-analogs and some others (like methiopropapine or 6-APB) but apart from a few MDPV-fans people usually never seem to be that enthusiastic about them.
 
some RCs have benefits that their "counterparts" don't. For example, you can measure an exact dosage of things like 2c-x and not have to worry about how much lsd is on your blotter or the potencey of mushrooms. Some RC's can be snorted which provides for a faster come up and sometimes different effects, but like Solide said, "these are all drugs in their own right". Every drug has different effects, even if they are really similar to another legal drug.
 
Mephedrone > Coke and even MDMA for some events..

There are so many psychedelic RCs im sure that alot of people prefer over the classics..

GBL, when it was legal and could have been classified as an RC.. is much better than alcohol..
 
GHB/GBL is probally the easiest RC that you can get your hands on other the synthetic cannabinoids... Suprsingly i have never done it but if you like booze you should look into them
 
GHB/GBL is not my thing, i was physically addicted to it in a very short time.

But my late reply has another Topic i received what should be 1g 4-FA and 1g 4-MEC as free sample, and now i question what could be more appealing to me? I have not tried either of them. And i look for an amphetamine style push (thats why i chose these two as samples), but what is the better one, since i think i can only try one of both in the near future (half a year).
