Misc Repeat Prescriptions over the New Year holiday, need advice!

Hey all.

My repeat prescriptions are due to be filled on January the 1st (New Years day) but the pharmacy my GP sends my meds to (electronically) is closed on New Years day. Do you think he will post date the prescriptions to the 31st (New Years Eve)? Or am I gonna have to suffer and wait till the 2nd of January to get access to my meds? I'm in the UK btw. Cheers guys
 
No he will post date it earlier. Just call him.

I have to do the same thing. Except I have to see him in person on the 30th since that is the only day he is in until after New Year’s.

You do not have to suffer. Neither do I. Yay!!
 
I'm worried sick over it cos im on high doses of Oxycodone and the last thing I need is to go into withdrawal (and pain) over the new year period! I put in my repeats last Friday should I fone my surgery in the morning to see when I can pick them up?
 
Yes.

I am stressed about it too because I didn’t know my doctor was going to be out of the office for so long.
Tomorrow is the only day he is in until a week after New Year’s!
I will be dead by then. Seriously.

I don’t even have an appointment either. I have to call first thing in the morning and be ready to be at his door!

Just ring up the GP surgery and ask for them to be issued on the 31st instead. They've done that for me before.

mine are controlled substances too.

We will handle it tomorrow.

they know the pharmacy is closed for New Years and stuff.
tell them you have to get them filled tomorrow.
We have to use the same pharmacy due to our controlled substance prescription s.
 
Fuck, I have been awake from 4:30 a.m. Worrying about this shit!

I have only a few precious hours of relief left and then I will be in hell and unable to even help myself.
I already used all the emergency Kratom I have had on hand for emergencies too!

Come on 9:30! I need to have my mind eased!

I am terrified of withdrawal. The pain that is underneath it is the worst thing.

I can’t help it. I get bad anxiety over this kind of thing. Seeing as how my life literally depends upon it.

I don’t want to have to go to the hospital today and I doubt they would even help me.

There is always Loperamide is worst comes to worst but I don’t want to go there and it is dangerous.

I called my GP surgery this morning and they said I can pick up my prescriptions tomorrow morning, thank god lol! Crisis over.

If you need to use Loperamide then I've found 60-70mg (adjust depending on ur tolerance!!) to be VERY effective in relieving almost all opioid WD symptoms when I've been forced to use it. Only dose once (or twice by splitting ur dose) every 24 hours cos Loperamide's got a notoriously long half-life (which CAN be beneficial) otherwise it will accumulate and thats when it gets dangerous!

One problem down.

Now we just have to work on me!
I have a few hours before I can call.

Let us hope it doesn’t come to Loperamide!
 
@Painful One , has it worked out Girl ?? I am on the East Coast, so we are all open for business!!

Guys as I have read this and now at that Beautiful phase of Dependence on my script Yuck!! but needed and does make life much more manageable??
I live in a very small town , and my pharmacist has allowed me a couple of days of my script up front , when the above mentioned situations have occurred??
 
I don’t know yet.
I am getting dressed and ready to go now so if they tell me to come now I can.
which I am hoping for!

i have to wait for them to open.

Okay I just got a call back from those bitches in the office. They love to stress me the fuck out.
that almost gave me heart failure.

I can see my doctor at 11:15. If I hurry. I can get my prescriptions before I hit withdrawal at 2:00.
I really cannot take loperamide right now. I have too many new medication s going for the narcolepsy from the specialist and I am
in withdrawal from Ambien already!
