Red Alert 3!!

Been waiting a long time but red alert 3 has been made official.

The 1st video out is bomb, made me salivate! I just grabbed the expansion to command & conquer three, w00t.

Whats up with these delayed 3rd parts to games?

There were only two computer games I ever cared about: Diablo and Red Alert.
In high school, I played the shit out of both of those games - well, Diablo II and Red Alert II.

And now, something like 8 years later, after nothing coming from either of them, both of them are releasing third installments. I'm excited, but I'm 99% sure I won't be buying this. As much as I would love it, I won't be able to devote the time to this game that it deserves.

agreed but warcraft got tossed in the mix on my end also. Believe it or not but i literally felt your pain when reading that response; oh so sad & true. Many people i know have stated the same feelings as to not having time 2 play & my <3 goes out to you peepz in a no homo sort of way. kudos & may the time for Redalert3 end up with you!
 
Not overly impressed with how RA3's looking at the moment, all your units look like some weird japanese happy meal toy, rather than some ultra badasszz0rs technology from the not too distant future; ala C&C3 tiberium wars.


I'll still end up buying it either way, although secretly moreso for Gemma Atkinson's rockin' tits than anything else. :p
 
second pics pretty hot but those r def fakeeeee but wateves. tanks ^ explosions are awsome & all but i want to know what the new super weapons will be. I did enjoy Yuri's revenge & in the video they messed with the time line & now some rising sun faction is in on the fun. I really enjoyed the upgrading unit system & the chrono camandos' along with yuri prime & chrono ivan etc. nasty but amazingly creative units imo is what really got me into the game back to red alert AFTER MATH with the flame thrower towers & dogs & 4bit gore which had me drooling as a i was 6 years of age playin.

Theirs also a faction list so far disclosing a good few units!

Yeah I loved Red Alert 2 but like Fabric22 said it looks a bit ugly and, well, it's been done to death. I'll probably end up playing it for the cut scenes and all the units little phrases. Th russians on RA2 were brilliant.

Complete with mind crushing psychic school girl units, giant robots, and transforming vehicles.
 
This is just another EA "MAKE MONEY FROM THE NAME OF THE GAME" video game. It will be an average game and nothing ground breaking like you might expect from RA3.

They've just determined that it's time to pull that Westwood Studios intellectual property out of their grab bag of "old titles people will buy regardless of what the gameplay is like" and combine it with lots of advertising money then wait for the profits and "YOU SUCK EA" comments to roll in.

Thank you, please continue to buy sequels of games based on the fact that 10+ years ago while being developed by an independent studio that hasn't existed in years it was a good title.

or 20 minutes of lazor tank chargring 8 minutes of cut scenes for upcomeing EA games, and then 2 minutes of lazor tank firing.

but them 2 minutes will be all worth it.
 
Lol there most recent Red Alert.. was the one continuing the tiberian wars.. got into W3 (we3, I can't remember the name of the big gaming olympics) before it was even released (knocked Dark Crusade out, which I was 4th favourite to win if it went through) and then absolutely failed because they couldn't patch it in time for W3
 
the warhammer series has been loosing its umff if u ask me & kul69 i cant disagree with missing the lil independent nut non existing O.G. westwood & blizzard*siigh*. i will however feel this one our since so many people said the same of red alert 2 & that ended up on fiiiyyaaaaa. Command & conquer 2 tiberium wars & Kane's wrath expansion is an ALTERNATE UNIVERSE/TIME LINE & is NOT part of the Red Alert story line, good looks though. I partly attribute the fact we are even seeing RA3 partially to C&C3's success. Psychic school girl can prob pop heads like yuri could.
