Indeed a subject I know too much about - with almost a decade of opiate abuse behind me I do have some things I can recommend that really helped me, hopefully can be beneficial to you as well. First, I'd find a good, mild (some will say 'beginner' or gentle) detox kit. I'm relatively new here, and know we're not supposed to source but many chain health food stores carry them. I purchased a 7 day detox kit, liver and kidney specific and used it to the letter of the instructions! I took Holy Basil (ocimum sanctum) http://www.medicinehunter.com/holy-basil to help with the stress and anxiety as it's makeup is far removed from the things my body might interpret as an opiate. It takes a while to build the effectiveness (2 weeks at least) but I honestly felt it after the third day! If you are like I was, you are likely feeling a bit depressed now - and depression really kicks one's sex drive to the curb, so try to be patient with that for now for I'd bet as you build yourself up it will return as well. Please try to stay away from any medications to "up" your sex drive, at least for now. I also took a whole food enhanced multi-vitamin and mineral supplement daily (has fruit and veggy 'blends' ) and a natural 'night time' supplement as well. Are you sleeping well yet? The very best help is exercise - UGH! I know! - but just start with a walk around the block. It helps clear the head too. As for foods, very basic try to eat clean and healthy. Become aware of what you're eating, what is really in it ingredient wise and of course stay away from things with chemicals, trans fats, etc. As a rule, foods that support your body and keep it moving. Truly become aware of the additives in processed foods now though. No sense in putting more chemical crap in your body as you are cleansing it!
