Meth Real proven advice on functional meth use, my lessons after 5 years

46 yr old, army veteran have learned the hard way about meth, mostly on my own, and now I just want hopefully share tips and plan that if followed, you can use daily, feel great and avoid many mistakes, all mistakes I have made btw, I am hoping this helps someone and here it goes in order too to ease understanding
1) Do not inject meth with needle at all, it is very intense, but you will go psychotic easily, use large amounts not needed, and the hangover and withdrawal is 10 times worse than other methods. You can stop shooting and just snort for a week to get by. Snorting is the best method is does burn, good meth avail in 2025, which btw is cartel meth not shake and bake. Superset is way better and it burns for a second but actually does little to no damage to nose or teeth and I have been usingn5 plus year.
2. Don't smoke it and I know most people do and I did, it fries your brain quickly and you can quit smoking with same plan. Snort for 7 days to get thru and after 7 days, snorting will work 10 times better and just trust me.
3. Okay now once u can quit first 2 methods and also I stress buy supermeth non shakebake meth. You just snort it and I can definitely do .5 gram or less, idk you will figure out routine, but the best I believe is smaller lines, spread throughout the day. In conjunction if you also do the following daily in conjunction, you will be really high, focused, productive and you will be able to look and be normal, not tracked. So here are the daily tips
A. Sleep 4 hrs a day at least and never stay up more than 2 days at most.
B. When u wake up, do some light exercise 20 min and also at end of day some little workout, put on headphones music, this going to make you way higher and it lasts
3. Drink water all day, meth is the most dehydrating drug ever and it took me a long time to learn. Make yourself for a couple days if this is new and this I major and your high once again much better.
4. Eat small meals all day. And I have learned fresh fruit, vegetables, almonds, etc natural foods they really enhance your high too and also cures alot of the bad effects of meth. Once again try for like 2 days and limit sugar and chocolate etc but you can do a little. I swear you will notice good effects and yoy will want to continue healthy eating. One thing for certain and it takes a little practice, you need to eat and meth puts your brain and body in constant drive, it increases metabolism by alot, so you actually can eat alot and won't gain weight either.
5. I do meditation at least once maybe twice a day while on meth and once again it has shocked me to learn, that not only does ot increase my high by a mile, my overthinking anxiety is way down. It may sound off but guided meditation on YouTube works while high takes a Lil practice and you will feel better for hours afterwards. Frequency music which is on YouTube works just like meditation and 20 min, close eyes, listen to a Frequency, it's super cool safe 20 min trip and afterwards, you have focus not stress.
6.drink coffee, energy drink, tea to boost your lines. These drinks work great with snorting but be careful.
7. And one last thing never take more than 1 or 2 benadryl while on meth. A lot of benadryl and merh will make you crazy, you can research yourself too but I did this on accident once and 4 or 5 hrs worst trip ever, and my heart almost exploded. So b very careful. And too much melatonin will do the exact same thing. 10 MG max but for sure 30 MG or higher of melatonin combined with alot of meth causes huge reaction and once again I had 4 hours of I mean heart exploding, and I thought I was dying and I couldn't function to even call for help.
So please trust me and this info is available on line but I didn't know until after the mistake was made.

So for anyone out there, my tips idk my sound like alot bit if you are struggling. Use the tips I gave one by one and it does take practice and the burn from snorting is bad, but u get used to it, you will have way better energy and the withdrawal is way less and you don't have to do as much product, what u buy will last significantly longer.

I pray somebody gets something from this and just rest assured I learned the hard way and just want to offer my lessons learned

You've got a mix of some classic harm reduction suggestions for methamphetamine use overall here, but I discourage you from implying these steps will allow a meth user to sustain a manageable long term habit. (when you say 'functional meth use' in your title the implication to me is that the goal is daily meth use with zero or low risk of developing life issues of any kind. If I misunderstood please correct me) Addiction isn't something one can control indefinitely with these techniques, and a user can quickly spiral away from "functional enough" to "life in complete disarray" due to external factors and stressors which often can't be controlled or become progressively more difficult to control sustainably as the daily drug use progresses. Avoiding fast acting RoAs which reach max plasma concentration very quickly like IV and smoking are good tips to afford a user more flexibility to quickly stop their drug use if they're self aware enough to sense that it may be getting out of hand or complicating their lives in a meaningful way... But a user who only doses orally or by insufflation is more likely to escalate to other RoAs once they begin hitting a tolerance ceiling or their usage increases due to stresses.

Addiction is so often cyclical with a person's environment and life circumstances. When one aspect loses balance, it influences the other factor to lose balance as well. Meth is a very very addictive dopamergenic stimulant with an impressive and powerful mechanism of action in the brain. By it's very psychoactive effects it reinforces the minds need to use more meth, and it has been shown to influence cravings signals from the center brain structures (rooted in primal survival needs)which are able to over ride the cerebral cortex's judgement and logical decision making.


I'm not sure any amount of recreational meth use can ever be considered low or even anywhere less than high risk of developing some degree of a habitual addiction. I the deep annals of this forum, I've seen it plainly stated by old members that meth is not the kind of drug you really want to EVER find yourself using daily, and once maybe twice a week at most, dosed orally is the optimal window where you're reaping the maximum benefits of meth with the lowest chance of harmful consequences. The exception I would imagine is a prescription for daily dosed methamphetamine written by a patients psychiatrist or primary care doctor.

Four hours of rest isn't anywhere close to enough recovery time for the body; I'd recommend at minimum twice as much recovery time allowed as time under the influence of the drug. Attempting to self administer meth daily on self accountability is a dangerous game and predicates just about every major road block or life damage experienced by meth users who pass the event horizon, and can't turn back so easy.

Well I appreciate your response it sounds just like a text book or rehab and it is very valid information overall.
My post was real life and I believe I was quite clear, alot of mistakes along the way and I don't recommend anyone try it.
But I am now functional on it and doing very well, but I implement all those steps
And there are functional drug users of every kind in reality not a lot but there are a few.
But I wasn't trying to recruit new meth addicts with my post. My post is directed to those already using practical tips that I have found beneficial.

I understand your perspective. To clarify I didn't share my personal perspective on meth which indeed is that I would suggest anyone curious pass this drug along. That may be a rehab take, but it's my honest opinion of the risks you're taking for the high you get in return

My recommendations on the other hand are opinions that I've seen shared by people whose word I respect greatly and who I agree with that the best way to maximize methamphetamine in recreational doses is to limit use to once or twice a week and take double the time for the body to recover. I legitimately believe that any heavier usage pattern than this is hitting the point of diminishing returns already. Tbh rarely did I actually enjoy even missing the first night of sleep on a binge regardless of how well I convinced myself that I was enjoying it

But that's my two cents as someone who has used meth heavily in a typical binge-crash cycle for the last year. Plenty of people have a lot more long term experience with the drug but I feel it told me everything that I needed to know in just the one year... Obviously folks are going to continue binging and crashing on meth regardless of my suggestions... I was that person doing the same thing last spring. In that event I think most of what you suggested are good entry level meth binge health maintenance tips, and I appreciate you sharing them

This is good information to give yourself the tools you need to quit. Thank you this may work for me. Although untraditional we need anything that will give a person an edge. You have helped me.
 
I am not a typical addict. First I understand addiction, and I learned in a very real way. It started with curiosity and over time became a science experiment.

I was told that heroine would hook you even if you tried it once. So I believed this. I spent the late 90s and early 2000 being a di and partying on psychedelics. I wasn't ever interested in pills, I didn't like cocaine.

Fast forward 15 years, I was in a different life, drinking regularly and I started trying things, or tried heroine. I did not get addicted. So I was like huh, then tried crack, and meth. Over time and when I say tried. I had a night tried it. And for the heroine, I tried one time. I hated it and that stands today. The crack, I did a few nights with a friend and, though the high was really interesting, the mechanics of it and the way my mind was kinda shrouded in a thickness, made me dislike it. And for the high, if I'm offered it, sure I'll partake, but I just won't pay for it and I won't own the tools or meet any dealers ya know. Then the Meth, fist time i smoked 2 or 3 hits. The high was nice but only felt like a few hours ish. And what I remained was 2 days later still trying to sleep, after 2 or 3 hits and i did nothing else or any other drugs. So I was lost at how this was fun for anyone.

Fast forward another 15 years. Someone offered me white crystals and called it Molly it was smoked on foil. I tried it I liked it, and this was the time I learned there are drugs that can hook you in a single try. Because I had gone into every trial of something new, thinking it's impossible, I'm thinking about it, I'm paying attention so on. We'll this was my lesson time.

8 months later. Lost most of my respect, material things and health, I lost like 45 lbs. I was manipulating friends and family for money and one of my friends sent me a message and said, why are you borrowing money like this, you have never been like this? And I couldn't lie to him. Which, made me not lie to me in that moment. And I told the truth.

2 weeks later the woman who came into my life, and brought that, I had started a plan. We were getting off of it. It only took 2 weeks and her consistently failing to try for me to ask her to leave as I had to change and that was a nasty response from her, but that story is dead. I made a choice and I bought a 1/8 I was by myself at home and I determined everytime I crave more. I will set a timer and add 5 minutes incrementaly each time. I never gave any thought to what if I didn't make it. And I was so dead set, it never happened. So that's that. This increase lasted what felt like forever. I was taking the same dose every time, and my craving for more, and my forced incremental strength of my will, brought me to a point when I was able to. I didn't. And I walked away from it.

And as addicts do, a bit down the road I wanted to do it. So the same friend, I asked to check on me the next day. And I went into this situation thinking and saying, if I feel xyz then this particular drug has me and I can never do it. But it didn't have me, I had a fun night and I have only done it once more in the
Last 2 years. . .

That was the night before I met Brittany and meth use.

She was and still is on it regularly. I offered her something that would both challenge me, and help her.

The list of shit I didnt know before I tried this.

Anyone that has been there knows. And my will and my confidence were tried harder than I have ever been tried.

After 4 failed attempts to quit with her, I left her. And this hurt me so bad it took 6 weeks or more to even start pushing my life back up.

I still use everything now and again.

And I do so with a very real understanding of how addiction can happen and works. And the more shit my life is the higher risk of falling into addiction.

I think being hyper villigilant self aware and working my personal values into a place where I don't lie and people know who i am and what I do. I've balanced personal moral and integrity for living honestly. That when the scale tips a little, I catch it. I don't know anyone like me personally, that I can share conversations about this with. But I do know, that meth nearly because Molly #2. Beacause I fueled the attempts to quit with Brittany and I. And when I left her, I went straight down that way of I was headed there. But the voice in my head was screaming on repeat and I could not , not give a shit, I knew that the pain was the mixture of the strangest relationship, where I was with the woman of my dreams. And i know that the meth enhances things, and i am very aware, I was trying to bring her out of it, and help rebuild our lives.

In the 6 months this went on for, I did more and less and never went plummeting, it was just more than a few times a week, it was daily and breaks maybe once a week. It spun so many things in so many ways. I had to question reality when I saw a armadillo in a parking lot. Just walking, in place, but legs going in reverse. I stared, blinked, rubbed my eyes. It was there. So I took steps slowly towards it. Within the gape of one step along the way it switched , right in front of my very open eyes, into a piece of trash. So i backed up, and the armadillo was doing his moonwalk. During this, binge, I had been through the failed 4 already and I had been up for 6 days, I was pushing, I wanted to understand what the fuck could make people think and believe so many fucked up things.

At this point, I had believed my lover was bat shit crazy and though I had been doing this with her for nearly 5 months I could not understand the accusations, the pain and fucked up things, that she thought I was doing and even capable of. But this day, with a backsliding armadillo and, the subsequent hallucinations. I gained a very big understanding of this drug. I moved out that week. And ended things. 2 weeks binging and just being in the fuck-its, then the awareness and 4 weeks off and on. Finally getting back to living with myself and I am picking up the pieces. Looking back at the cyclone of shit.

I suppose the point of this story is to emphasize on self awareness and you ability to be honest with yourself. If you think you are that way 100% then you might want to check your self awareness.

Ive learned many things about many drugs and I've survived. Meth being the most recent and definitely the most terrible experience in the end.

I would say, be very careful with this game. And I never did needles on anything, never will. But each of them have pros and cons. But I've seen more cons collectively. I'll stick to psychedelics, and other things will come and go depending on the situation.

I can't stress how crucial my integrity and self awareness were in my, I'll call it escape. There were more than enough times I thought I had fucked up and was not coming back.

I don't know if this helps, but I am honest as shit with myself and others and my last 6 weeks I had plan, and if it failed I was going to rehab. But I managed before that.

Be aware and stay positive.

I will say how much your post means to me and how much I appreciate you taking the time to want to hopefully help someone.
Me on the other hand, can read between the lines and not take someone’s post so literal and practically act offended like everyone else these days who need to grow a pair and quit being such pussies. Sorry, not sorry. It needed said.
There aren’t too many people left out there who want to share their wisdom and experience, mostly because obviously, there’s not much wisdom left in kids these days.

However, I am literally going to try my best to follow your thoughts and past experiences to hopefully better my life. Because that’s the reason most of us are here anyways.
