I have two double stacked 8 and a halfs that I tested a few days ago. When I put the solution on the scraping, it didn't turn any color right away, but eventually(15-20 sec) turned dark purple/black. It looked to me as though there were clear spots throughout though. My question is this...
1) I think I put 2 drops in rather than one. Could there have been too much solution and not enough of the "E" scraping, thereby causing some of the solution not to turn at all?
2) Could the slowness in turning purple/black be caused by the pill being a very tightly bound pill? I noticed that some of my scraping was in tiny chunks rather than powder.

Don't know where you are (we're in australia) but we had a similar reaction to a couple of pills we tested. We scraped some from the pill/s when we dropped the reagent on, only the granules turned dark...usually, (even with 2 drops) the solution turns black-or whatever colour. this was weird. in about 30 or so seconds, and after sort of stirring the test, it all blended, but it turned a maroony colour...between purple, black and brown....hmmmm...
these pills were ugly too...no print, or score...one was a very dark blue and one was a dark green...they looked identical, except they were different colours...they looked local...
i don't think that dropping 2 drops would matter...its sometimes difficult to only drop one drop.

Were the pills ok? Yeah, I stirred it a little and it was the normal black/purple thing. I'm not too worried though. I know that a friend of mine took one and his girlfriend took the other from the same batch and he said they were out of this world. Everything else I've seen about this pill seems to be great. I was just curious about my reaction and if I should be a little bit worried or not. Thanks...
 
No immediate colour change?? are you SURE there wasn't even the slightest change??
MDMA should react immediately, MDEA and MDA should also react almost as fast..
It concerns me when no change occurs for that long..
Please re-test it, and report if there is any smoke..

I guess I should rephrase what I originally wrote. It didn't take 15-20 seconds for me to see a color change. I would say that it took that long for the change to be complete. I started noticing the purple black within 2-3 sec.
