This is a section of an assignment i had to write..
"We purchase various glow in the dark accessories and venture into the giant blue tent. Ready to dance the night away I place my multicoloured head band in my hair and snap my glowstick as instructed so it glows a scarlet red colour. The inside of the tent it is like a rainbow of coloured lights and behind the DJ's turntables there is a giant angel painted in glowing paint. Stretching her delicate looking wings out behind her and leaning towards the crowd almost as if she will take flight any second.
All selfconcious feelings fly out the window as the pulsing beat of the music takes over my body. Dancing like I've never dance before I make my way to the centre of the crowd. I am surrounded by ravers who are much more relaxed than the moshing crowd from the night before. There are no feelings of claustrophobia just friendly smiles and the occasional hug. Everyone is just here to have fun, not the crush themselves to death just to get closer the the stage. For five hours straight I dance with old friends and new whose names I never learn. The dream like stobe lighting effects along with the talented DJ's pumping out non stop techno creates and amazing atmophere.
At two am the music finishes, not wanting to leave but with no more reason to stay the exhausted crowd disperses and head back to their separate campsites. With every bone in my body aching I crawl once again into the safety of my sleeping bag and within minutes I am sleeping like a baby. Dreams filled with flashing lights and dancing completly uninhibited make me relise that this night was an experience I will never forget."

well that was offshore 2000 for ya,
the ultimate in contrast
On one side - shitty mosh pits and violent bogans (no offense to people who enjoy having their faces beaten in and being stood on in mosh pits while struggling to REALLY listen to the music)
On the other - nice music, a rave tent and people who are actually nice
good writing babe =)
