Hello!
I found some similar threads on here already but none of them sounded quite like what is happening to me. I really want to know if I should go to the hospital, if serious/permanent damage has occurred, or if this is a minor issue that will resolve itself.

I injected a dose of bupropion (which I know is terrible on your veins and all around a bad idea, but I did it anyways; please don't just give me responses telling me not to do that, because I already did it and don't plan on doing it again.) into a vein in my wrist. I registered and blood definitely came into the rig, but upon plunging there was a sharp pain where did the injection, I thought it was just the burn of the bupropion but it was much more severe. I got the hit and felt a rush, but immediately my wrist began to turn red and go numb (bupropion has mild numbing effects). I knew something was wrong right away, and within 2 minutes of the injection some bumps began to rise just below the site. These bumps looked like blisters almost, or a rash, just slightly raised skin, but I could almost watch it expand, I also could feel a tingling where these blisters were forming, almost as if I could feel them growing. Within 10 minutes it was apparently noticeable and the numbing had gone away to be replaced by moderate pain. I have been running my hand under hot water and wrapping it in a washcloth and after about 40 minutes of doing this there seemed to be a slight improvement. It now has been about an hour and a half and the pain is still there along with the blister-like marks, additionally there seems to be a lack of circulation as the tips of my fingers are going cold very easily.

please help with any advice if anything similar has ever happened and what to do

:?:?:?

What the hell why are you not on the way to a doctor right now? Do you want a professional opinion from a real doctor or do you want a fellow drug-user from the internet going 'oh yeah man that should be aight'

I want to avoid going to the hospital at all costs, spare necrosis or amputation, but I am hoping and praying that someone may have had something similar happen to them and would know what to do.

You need to go to a dr now... sitting and waiting isn't going to magically make it get better as you risk all sorts of damage to your hand

By the way you shouldnt even be injecting buproprion... it's not meant for that at all...
