Please don't flame me for this but I have ocassionaly banged OC's for the past 2 years. I have been shooting them regularly for the past 3 weeks and before that I had just done it for a few days every few months and would quit. I just read Phreex OC FAQ (great read!!) and have decided I am definatly quitting them via I.V. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do/take to prevent anything bad coming out of my I.V. use. I usually would shoot them in 2 different places (each inner elbow area) and have some scar tissue in those spots now. Thanks in advance for any help and please don't lock this thread until I get at least a few good replies.

Can't undo what has been done.... stop shooting if you can and see how things improve - it might heal to the point it wouldnt be noticible ... you certinly don't have a massive habbit, so you're doing better then a lot of people that I know...

Hey Phreex thanks for the reply and for not locking this thread, I really am trying to quit. I've also had problems with my hands/arms going numb when I sleep or sometimes when I'm sitting. Have you ever heard of this before or know if anything could help? I guess from from shooting the O.C.'s I may have messed up my circulation.

Yeah, sadly it sounds like you have some serious damage... hopefully not permanate .. you might want to post this in The Dark Side, as they can offer the support to stay off the stuff (sadly I can't move posts) ..
Good luck!

Sadly what he describes *IS* a serious sign of nerve damage, which can be caused from injecting the bad shit in the pill... *hopefully* he will recover...

Try lotion with aloe for the scars, also the lotion they give to pregnant womyn for preventing/treating strecth marks

Provided the blood flow isn't fucked up, he should keep all his limbs.. in a worst case situation, might lose a hand or an arm.. if it's really bad once can die from complications..

We are talking about possible (likely) nerve damage, not dermal scars or anything like that... he describes numbness in his hands and whatnot - it all goes along with injecting OxyContin ...
From the OxyContin FAQ I wrote -
"OxyContin consists of a dual-polymer matrix, intended for oral use only. Parenteral venous injection of the tablet constituents, especially talc, can be expected to result in local tissue necrosis and pulmonary granulomas."
Track marks are the LEAST of his concrens!

I didn't read every reply above, so I hope I'm not repeating anything.
It sounds like you should take yourself off of OC completely. It would do you a world of good, believe me.
Just stop shooting it and bring the dose down slowly by railing it. Yes, it's less of a rush, but you're doing yourself a big favor. I don't know how much you use at a time, but in a few weeks, you could get yourself off that drug for good.
