Stimulants Questions about dexamphetamine

Hi everyone:this is the first time here, and I would like to ask you guys some questions about prescribed 100*5mg dexamphetamine sulfate(Australia).

1. Well, the first bottle worked greatly. I took 10mg in the morning, followed by 5mg in the afternoon. I helped concentrating and studying, as well as reducing sleeping and weight. It also eased my social anxiety and enabled me to avoid procrastination. However, the second did not work so well, which really worries as all these benefits have reduced significantly as soon as I started the second bottle.It looked the exactly same with untouched seal, but has a smell of vinegar. Is there any chance the drug store substituted the pills inside? or just improper preservation spoiled the drug?

2. Also, neither bottle has given me too much sense of wakefulness, as I feel sleepy pretty often and there was once I felt asleep after taking 10 mg. I drink coffee sometimes in order to study. Besides, the drug never gives me supper concentration or ability to study more than 7 hours, little disappointed. I really want a stimulant that gives me good concentration and energy to study all day, as well as a strong motivation to complete tasks in my life because I have wasted too much time before and feel this is my last shot, otherwise all the anxieties and depression will ensue. Anyone suggestions? Many thanks. What about Ritalin?

3. I may have diabetes, currently waiting for a test. Can diabetes conduce to my inattention and low energy level? Will my doctor revoke my dex prescription if I really have diabetes?

4. I have a chronic nasal congestion since i was little. Dex eases it but now less effective than before. Can I snort dex sulfate? Will this help the nasal decongestion?

5.What I got 1h after taking 15mg dex is waves of warmth from chest and a good mood, as well as uncomfortable heart beats. Is this what people call "euphoria"?

FYI:I had a bad depression before due to ADHD which I didn't know until 4 month ago. Now I feel I am losing my last life-saving straw. No substance abuse history, also taking pristiq. Currently taking 20mg dex daily.

I've always found dexidrine significantly less stimulating than adderall or racemic amps. Its great for focus but it just doesn't wake me up like other stims. 200mgs can be enough to cause a bit of tolerance which may be somewhat to blame for your decline of effects. You could try taking small doses of dxm every day, imo while it's not great at reversing tolerance it does work to prevent it.

If you don't have any energy to stay awake on (e.g. poor sleeping patterns, not enough to eat, overexertion) dexamphetamine won't keep you awake magically either. Lots of people actually find that small-moderate amphetamine doses "level them out" somewhat.

Diabetes, especially uncontrolled diabetes with blood sugar outside of its normal window, can absolutely contribute to poor mental function, btw. In fact, too much blood sugar chronically will kill brain cells.

Ritalin is shorter acting than amphetamine, so don't bother switching to that.

Amphetamine is rock solid, and if the container was sealed there's no way the drug store could have tampered with it. Welcome to amphetamine tolerance... you're going to build tolerance to the "good" effects (namely feeling good/euphoria, decongestion, mental stimulation, pro-social and anti-anxiety effects) no matter what, eventually, especially if you use amphetamines daily or increase your dose. It's an unavoidable fact of their usage.

Dextroamphetamine isn't going to turn you into some sort of walking God among men, the fact that you get good effects for ~7 hours off a fairly low dose should make you happy...

I mean, I guess you can redose, or get extended release pills, but I have a feeling you are expecting too much, namely that dextroamphetamine will cure you of bad habits. It really won't, it's just going to give you some concentrating power, like caffeine. It sounds like you're expecting it to be the drug from Limitless. Sorry man, but that's fiction.

Amphetamine already has a 12 hour half life - stimulants that last much longer have a tendency to ruin sleep patterns & result in tweaked out sleep deprivation.

Thank you for your patient answer. I guess I was just being greedy.

I actually changed quite a lot of bad habbits after taking it, including eating and sleeping in a much healthier way.
Taking a test tomorrow, I really hope it's not diabetes. If it is, then explains why I used to eat drink and pee a lot my whole life before taking dex and felt becoming dumber and dumber.
Can my dreaming problem contribute to low energy? I used to dream all night, very vivd, non-sense dreams that have nothing to do with my real life. I still do, but they are less vivid and can only be remembered for a short time after waking up. Now I sleep 7 hours a night between 12~7am.
Can I also ask is it a good idea to drink coffee after take dex?

Ide switch to adderall . Just make sure to eat and drink right ( hard as hell ) especiAlly with your issues . You're on dexamp only, you could benefit from the l-amp in adderall.

yes that "magic" wears off and rather quickly with daily use. I started RX amphetamines at about 12 and even with long, im talking YEARS of not taking it,
I pop some adderall anymore and it's goof for like 15 mins of energy and then im completely leveled out, and when I was 18 I could take the same dose and work on an art project for 8 hours str8. And ya, like Dumminstoned said, EAT WELL and drink right. I used to chase amphetamine highs with cola and i went from having good teeth to obtaining 6 cavities in a few months time. amps dry your mouth out.
