Opioids Question on kratom tolerance for previously opiate addicted person

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding kratom tolerance, specifically physical withdrawals, for someone who was previously addicted to opiates. As many of you know, when we first start using opiates, we can use for quite some time before we get physically addicted and start experiencing physical withdrawals. I remember when I first started using heroin, I could use for weeks and then stop and not be sick until finally one day I found myself dope sick and addicted. Since quitting heroin, I can use opiates for 2 days max before starting to feel physical withdrawals. Even if I am clean for years, if I go back to use, I can use at most for a few days before I start to feel sweaty and mild withdrawals. Once you are addicted to opiates and get clean, getting re-addicted with physical withdrawals seems to happen within just a matter of days compared to before we went through addiction.

In regards to kratom, considering that kratoms effects resemble opiates, would a similar timetable to physical withdrawals occur? Would using kratom for 3-4 days cause physical withdrawals similar to if I were to use heroin or oxy or any other strong opiate for 3-4 days?

Oh wow, so its basically no different than using a normal opiate then. So you're saying for you, after using kratom for 3 days straight, you can start to feel physical withdrawals?

I think of Kratom as tramadol light because it has opiate like effects and binds as an snri. You'll get minor WDs with 3-4 days consecutive use. It's very much dose dependant too.

For me yes… haven’t gone more then 24 hours after I did 4 days straight

Everyone is different, but I would expect mild withdrawals? How much do you use a day? If it's 1-2 grams expect really mild withdrawals. If it's like 20g per day, expect 2-3 days of tramadol like withdrawals.

It's just like any other, you'll feel dopesick after a couple of days.

I’ve come off of Oxycodone and Buprenorphine though. Also all the benzos

Ah so if you have never came off the tramadol, the withdrawals you are going through could be from the tramadol and not the kratom?

This “cycle” or this time around I just started on kratom after being opiate free for a month and doing a full detox. The only thing I’m on and have been on since August is kratom. So there shouldn’t be any kindling from other opiates. I had a month opiate and kratom free all of September. Now since October I’ve gone from 3 grams per day to 10-20 grams per day of kratom.

To be more clear I’ve never had a tramadol dependency so I don’t know what that feels like.

Expect a week or two off-center. Think of it as coming off oxy-lite. I don't know the equivalent in oxy to Kratom. 10-20g is a large dose
