If you're in college (or anywhere, for that matter), when you find a guy attractive what do you do? I mean what sort of signals do you give off? Example: prolonged eye contact with a smile, playing with your hair, getting giggly when he's about ... what?

I hope he starts a converation with me in a respectful manner, or I start one with him and hope he is respectful and we have common interests. I am not afraid to talk to a guy but even if I think he is cute I have many MANY times changes my mind about how attractive a man is because he treated me like a peice of meat or was disrespectful in other ways. Or If we dont have similar personalities, if he doesnt make me laugh.

I am not afraid to start talking to a guy, and even though I think a guy is cute being an asshole automatically kills his chances with me.

Thanks for the input! If a guy isn't funny, would you (and others on this forum) still date him?
 
Funny is a relative term is the thing. What I find funny may not be what the next woman at the bar or the next chick in your class will find funny. Thats why its important to just be yourself around a chick, I personally like very sarcastic and witty humor with a definiate dark side to it since I'm not easily offended. But again, the things that might make me laugh could easly scare another women off.

Know why? This is the part that men often seem to forget about us women: WE ARE ALL FUCKING DIFFERNT.

Michael you may not think you are funny, but she might.

Ask her out, you have more to lose by not doing so. Start out light, ask her to lunch. There are some nice restaurants there in G'ville by the campus.

Being funny is important to me but it isn't the most important thing in the world. Everyone's sense of humour is different. :)

We need more females like you around the world
 
I have a bit of pride, like Neko, I will wait until he starts a conversation with me. If there's chemistry great we can hang out. I got to get to know him first and see if there's a relationship worth pursuing, goals etc, if not bye bye gotta concentrate on getting a degree and graduate as a cumlaude etc. Priorities, priorities!
 
If I see something I like, I go for it. Beating around the bush is silly to me.. Perhaps I'm too bold for my own good, ha. The worst that can happen is they say "no."
 
I'm blunt and to the point. I told one guy I wanted to bite him on his hot ass and told another I wanted him for a good time not a long time. We did end up dating and living together.

^^though in his defence, some 45 yo women may do this.

the point made earlier that women are alll different is spot on, really.

although men and women display certain gender characteristics, they're all just people.

OP, you need to stop smacking of desperation and make friends with some women instead of trying to fuck them. once you're comfortable with women, you'll know the signs.
