question about HPS lighting

Hey blowmonkey man i'd post it in basic cultivation but the last post was from October! If I have two 100 Watt HPS bulbs, do i just need two of these ballasts? or is there something else that i need??

also as a general guideline how many watt per plant? 100W/plant? for the densest buds that is :D

Yes, ofcourse a reflective hood would also be extremely beneficial. And please read the guidelines, I've removed that link.

There is no set guideline as to how many watt per plant, it depends on your set-up.

Sorry, didnt know grow equipment was part of sourcing. What about one plant per bucket, would a 100 watt for each plant be good? in your opinion

Probably. I'd use them in a scrog set-up for the most efficiency, 100W lights don't penetrate as deep.

For a larget watt bulb/ballast you'd want a vented hood to avoid heat but 200 watts isn't that much. I'm honestly not even sure if anyone makes vented hoods for a 100 watt ballast.

You should get a grow manual, it'll give you an idea of a ratio between wattage and space. (sorry, too lazy to look it up for you.. but you should get a manual anyways for your first time) As Blowmonkey said, a SOG setup will probably maximize your lights, and it'll be pretty small, which is good.
