was sitting back in my favourite chair. I'd turned down the telly and was just gonna sit there and wait for the full effects to hit me. So I says to myself, I'll just have this quick wee and popped into the downstairs loo. It seemed to take aaaaages to go, and as I stood there looking down at the toilet, it looked a million miles away, like I was a thousand feet tall. I kinda shook my head and wandered back into the lounge and flumped back into my chair. Dallas was on. That dude, the one who just never got it on, yknow the Ewing's enemy, fuck knows his name. He was on and his face cracked me up, I had this laughing thing for about 10 minutes and I forced myself stop coz I wanted to make this thing ride!
So I turned the telly off altogether, got comfy, almost horizontal and shut my eyes. Pretty much straight away, I could feel this sensation of tingly pleasure. It started lightly, far away in my toes and fingers. First it spread all over my body, kinda like an E rush in slow mo, then began to grow in intensity. And I'm like, in my head, " wow! This is awsome, I feel lovely, oh this is so cool." So it's getting stronger, this "feeling", stronger and stronger, and now I'm like, "woah, I want it to stop now, that's enough" and I try to get up. Uh oh! Can't fucking move. P A N I C ! ! Things get really odd from here. I know I must have got up, but I have no memory of it now and I had none then. But from the moment I realised I couldn't move, it was like I was in between two worlds, like being in a dream where you can't do anything, only watch. In the one world, I'm down in my mums flat in reality, but in the other, far above me it seems there some one trying to tell me something. Down in reality, far away down a long tunnel, time seems completely sped up. It's like I'm steaming round the flat in fast fwd, up and down the stairs and in and out of rooms over and over. It's like I'm looking down, at this far away life where everything is flying by at the speed of sound, then there's me, my conciousness as I know it, kinda in between, then there's someone, kinda like higher up from where I am high above my life. This person tells me something that terrified me at the time. The panic I'd felt trapped in my chair what seemed like hours ago (but may have been no more than 10min, maybe lots less) was nothing compared to this. And what this entity told me was, "Nothing really matters." This entity also said something that is rarely out of my mind, it's what my music is about and pretty much my whole ethos to life. The entity said ".....It all goes around and around and around....." So I was terrified, and I finally realised that if I'd got up here, I could get back. So I clenched my fists even though I had no fists and gritted my teeth even though I had none and was just some ghost floating about someplace between worlds.... and pop.....
....I couldn't believe it, I was back on earth, kinda wedged btween my bed and a windowsill upstairs in my mums flat. I had one hand on the bedside cabinet and one gripped to the windowsill. I was like, phew, jesus, what the fuck was that! And I didn't smoke marijuana again for at least 6 months
I s'pose you'd describe it as an out of body experience, it was eassily and by far the most intense drug experience I've ever had, and on one big spliff
