Had my first experience with a transphobe in a public bathroom yesterday. I'm not trans and they weren't attacking ME btw.
I hate public bathrooms but yesterday was the start of opioid withdrawal for me so I had diarrhoea and had no choice.
I noticed the guy who walked in before me was clearly AFAB (assigned female at birth) but you know, mens clothes, mens haircut, clearly identified as male etc. Now, I could not give less of a shit. He went in to his cubicle, I went into mine.
When I come out some dudebro is like "Hey, you!" I'm like "Whattt?" (I swear I'm normally nice, but I was in WD and in a gross bathroom and he gave MAJOR asshole vibes) so he starts pointing at the trans guy asking me "Don't you think SHE should use the WOMENS TOILETS" and I was like "I really don't care where he wants to go to the bathroom. If he's more comfortable here - and I'm shocked anyone is comfortable HERE - yeah, I really DGAF TBH" and the guy was like "But SHE probably has a CUNT" and I was like [wanting to leave, but he was in the way, so all three of us were kinda stuck] "If you're going into a public bathroom and you're biggest thought is about the genitals of other people in there...I think YOU are the weirdo. The rest of us just wanna come in, do our business and get out ASAP. Even looking at this from your perspective - [I smile/look at said transman] and I apologise for this - [back to weirdo dudebro] even if this WAS a "woman" who just "wants to be a man"....public mens toilets are DISGUSTING. I just put down 6 layers of toilet paper on that seat and then STILL decided to hover...to POOP...with SCIATICA. And, I beg, inhale deeply." he hesitates "Inhale DEEPLY through your NOSE right now....exactly. If "she wants to be a man" bad enough to use THIS bathroom..."she's" more of a man than me.
Also, why he gotta involve me in all that? I ended up in there for like 6 extra minutes. That kinda smog gotta have given me amoebic dysentery or legionnaires or some shit.
Next time I might just shit myself.
