psychs plus MDMA any attenuation of true psychedelic effects

Pharmacologically you might expect some attenuation of classic psychedelic effects with MDMA due to post-synpatic 1A activation which is anxiolytic.

Is there any anecdotal evidence that psychedelic experiences are somehow less psychedelic or perhaps less anxious when MDMA is taken with the psych?

cheers

ive been considering doing a hippy or candy flip, but the thing that scares me is everyone talks about how taking MDMA while tripping makes them unable to have any anxiety/bad thoughts. when i roll, being "carefree" or without anxiety or having "no bad thoughts" is FAR from the way i experience it. dont get me wrong i enjoy my rolls, but theyre not just like 100% fun and pleasant and happy, sometimes i think way too much, or something little that would barely upset me normallu can affect me a lot more if im rolling. would this not make mdma good to combine psychs with for me, or does mdma affect you differently when combined with psychs?

MDMA can open one up if the circumstances are right but it can also (especially if too much is taken) get in the way of the trip.

I find this is due to excess stimulation. Much in the same way that any other CNS stimulant would get in the way of a trip.

I found that MDMA 'softened' the more extreme aspects of psychedelic activity of drugs like LSD, making them less insistant in their nature. Thing is, to me, that insistant nature is an important aspect of the full experience as it makes the whole thing harder to mentally run away from, which can allow some to avoid confronting difficult issues; as such, then yes I do think it lessens psychedelic activity in certain ways

Yea the positive thing about MDMA is that it resolves many fears although the downside of it can be that therapeutic analysis of these fears can be avoided by it so the benefits of it as well.
The negative about MDMA is that you can become terribly vulnerable emotionally and when MDMA experiences turn dark they often get like desparate pretty quickly.
Also its very pushy (what uniter calls stimulating) which is a big con IMO making for a strong artificial current of feeling that can secretly and or occasionally be unstable in its fundaments.

that's really helpful, thanks

I would also mention that combining MDMA with acid also makes me a little more disorientated. I sometimes find it hard to understand what's going on, I just feel so good...

Btw, MDMA can be just as psychedelic as acid, in very different way of course.

MDMA significantly potentiates 2C-* compounds when taken at the same time.

Visuals are significantly increased, but there is also a corresponding increase in "zoning out" which imho helps to reach some very deep states.

MDMA taken after the peak of 2C-* however tends to diminish the psychedelic effects, but leaves a nice "sparkle" for the remainder of the journey.

i didnt have that problem when I candy flipped. I found it alot harder to describe how it felt however I felt completely in control of it and was fully aware of what was going on around me. It was also pretty interesting that if I was in a rolling enviroment it was like extreme rolling but if I went to a well litl room it was like I went into an acid trip.
