Hey, unfortunately I have only been exposed to psytrance for the last 6-12 months so I'm kinda noob in this niche. Currently my favourite producer is Neelix.. his style is right up my alley. All his tracks evoke a sense of euphoria and good energy when im listening to them. I love the driving bassline and subtle melodic touches that ultimately complete his style.

I'm seeking suggestions (im open to anything) of similar artists that I should look into to increase the breadth of my psytrance knowledge. Show me what's out there people! Preferably the sort of proggy psytrance that Neelix exemplifies.

Appreciate suggestions

Cheers ;)

Progressive psytrance isn't really my thing, since somewhat paradoxically (or at least contrary to what the terms means with respect to, say, rock music), progressive (psy)trance is more minimal and simple than (psy)trance, and the thing in psytrance that sets it out for me from the rest of trance is that there's a shitload more going on with regard to the music. It's trippy, you feel as though you're being tugged in all directions, and there's always new stuff to hear.

That said, I thought I'd throw in the only one prog-psy artist I can truly recommend: Vibrasphere.

My good man. You're about to find the ultimate tool for what you seek.

Welcome to Tuneglue, you can thank me later. Just press expand and watch your collection grow. Also http://www.ektoplazm.com/ is a must.

While I'm here, here's Ace Ventura and Zen Mechanics combined project. Check them both out separately as well.

Although that might be a little deep and dark for now, Vibe Tribe is quite melodic.

Get on the classic stuff like Hallucinogen and early Infected Mushroom, GMS, 1200 Micrograms, all the crazy sick old analogue psy.

Edit: None of this prog psy I just realised but hey TuneGlue!!

Keep stompin!!!

I dont mean to highjack this thread - but it is kind of relevant :)

I've been trying to identify a track for a few months now - I've heard it in heaps of mixes, but I can't find out what it's called!!
the track I'm after is @ 34:35mins into this awesome mix by Nick Sentience (Progressive psytrance):

Cheers :)

Anyone listened to Perfect Stranger's new album Leap of Faith? I've put it on heavy rotation as of late. He's easily my favorite progressive psy producer.

I can't wait to see him next weekend! :D
