Technical Problem Problem posting from mobile

Hi everyone
so my friend Simple Hatred has a problem posting from his mobile.
he uses the full version, and his "quick reply" (as well as the "advanced" version) appears like this:

and he can't write in the box.
he uses Opera Mini (but so do I without any problem) and I know it's likely a bug of the browser but is there anyway he can fix it?

which platform and device is he using?

his device is Sony Xperia U and his operative system is Android 2.3.7

P.S. he doesn't get this while on bluelight mobile

2.3.7 was released in september 2011. that is forever ago in technology terms. i just tried it on a 4.2.2 device and it works fine.

i'm not sure there's much he can do here (beyond talking to opera).

I'm pretty sure it's Opera's fault, that browser is the fastes I've tried but sucks ass for everything else >.<
