Unlike the drugs we’re accustomed to in Western medicine, the psychedelic therapeutic mechanism is not simply a biochemical reaction in a passive, pill-popping patient; it is experiential and participatory, and involves a type of healing that goes deeper than treating an individual in isolation. With this paradigm shift, we need to emphasize what I’ve dubbed PEACH—Psychedelic Education and Community Healing."
