In the circles i mix in, we dont take prescription drugs and as such i dont know jack about them, whats the appeal ? If any of us are on prescribed drugs we'll share them about but i cant say ive ever noticed any effect, with the exception of drinking on codinephosphate which just got me messy drunk real fast.

So the prescription drugs so many BL's favor, do they actually get you high are or they just unfortunate addictions?

Basically whats the low down haha?

Hey man this really isn't bluelight material. Most people have prescription drugs because they need them, or perhaps needed them at one time.

Alot of people have anxiety or pain. So being able to take somthing to cure your pain that also makes you feel good can be nice? I mean people just want relief these days. If you had a broken back and somthing cured the pain, i'm sure you would like it to.

So it's whatever floats your boat. Somtimes there unfortunate addictions, other times there just fun. Either way these drug companies are a billion dollar industry.

I also don't know if this is quite suited for BL, but think of it this way. All of those "prescription" drugs have some kind of street equivalent...prescription opiates have heroin, amps have speed, etc. Clearly I'm not saying oxy is identical to heroin or anything like that, but you get the idea. Prescription drugs are often more accessible since people do get them prescribed for pain or other ailments, and some people either get addicted to their own prescription or find them on the street from other people selling their prescriptions for money.

But, to answer your question, a prescription opiate like oxycodone or hydrocodone will get you high, the same way a "street" opiate like heroin will. I think the whole prescription drug thing is more of a legality issue...the drugs are still abusable, usable, and can/will get you high.

This question really belongs in Basic Drug Discussion, if that.

What prescription drugs are you curious about? Look them up on Erowid and you will find whole pages of people's experiences.

I'd say you answered that quite i nicely, i didnt mean to cause any offense or anything , i just notice a lot of posts about dosages of prescription drugs etc and wondered ...well i wondered if they were being used recreationally (and if so why) or if they were being used for a genuine purpose.
