How much potshould be in: a dime bag?...
and yea i know its not exact... blah blah... contributing factors, grade, variety, size and friendliness...
but here... i have an idea of what an eighth looks like... how many dime bags are in that eighth? (if yer nice, if yer fair, if yer ripping them off...)
 
There is no way to answer this question. A dime bag is $10 worth. Some weed is so shitty $10 could easily be an 1/8th. Some is so good an 1/8th could cost $50.
 
'Round these parts, a dime bag of decent weed can be between one or two bowls... eyeballing it, it should be a d single bud measuring about an inch.

Its my understanding that dimes should weigh .7 of a gram. Thus there are 5 dimes in an eigth, and 10 in a quarter.
 
Totaly usless to you guys from the US but I just thought I'd use this opertunity to gloat about how cheap weed is in the UK.
a £10 draw or dime bag as you call it over there = for hash 2g - 3.5g, for weed 1.75g - 3.5g, for skunk (kb) 1g - 1.5g.

dimer bag of weed really can be different.. it depends on the 'grade'. If its regular commercial then the bag should bounce 3g's on the scales... thats 2g's of bud and 1g for the bag.... if its mid grade you may get 1gram of bud for 10$... if its high grade... most likely it will be .5grams.... but I dont know anyne who buys 'dimebags' of KB.......

A dime of schwag is 3 grams - if you got less then you were ripped.(US)
An 1/8 is 3.5-4.0 grams.
An 1/8 is half a gram over a dime.
A quarter is 7 grams proving my point.
There are other considerations which you all mentioned but to answer the basic question = 3g.
Why would good weed be sold in dimes???

damien is the only one iwth the TRUE real answer.... 10$ worth of pot is a dime bag....no matter what the grade........... I was just breaking it down as to what 10$ worth of each grade is.............and you only find people selling dimes of KB at parties......dimes and grams

no challenge , i have just been in this argument so many times its frustrates me. I think he got his question answered , which is that there is no standard dime in the world and everyone will argue about it.
 
Hmmm, I thought this was clear cut, but I guess not. In all my years of pot smoking and in different cities and different social circles and different buyers blah blah blah (ok 8 years smoking, 3 different cities, various dealers, various social circles), a dime bag has always been 1 gram. Whether that be good shit, ok shit, dirt from the earth. And that 1 gram is priced accordingly to the quality.
For example:
say all my hookups are out of reach at the moment, I want to buy some grass off the street, I can go to Haight St and score a dime of nugs for $20 - weighing almost a gram (they always pinch cuz they're like that), of I can hit Market street and buy a dime of schwag for $10.
Anways, it's always worked the same for me in Baltimore and DC as well.
Actually that doesn't even just apply to the street price, I can buy from dealers, who are usually pretty good friends for about the same price - though they only work in nugs.

How could you pay 10$ for a gram of dirt. If I was desperate i would , but these are the everyday prices!?!?!?

1 dime = 2 blunts
nicklebag = 1 blunt
thats what a dime is where i am located... 2 good sized blunts.
 
That doesn't really make it any easier for me seeing that I've never smoked a blunt, nor have I seen anyone smoke a blunt (outside of tv). It's all glass all the time - with the occasional glass bong, and occasional joint. Though I believe I'm the exception in this instance.

Ok, i agree here with most of the people who have replied, saying that a dime bag of dirt is 3-3.5 grams. You can't really compare the sales of dirt and good weed because they arent sold in the same way. Good weed is sold in grams, and dirt weed is sold in dime, quarter....etc...Hope this helps.

How many grams do you put in a blunt Max? We usually used about a 20 sak (or 4grams of reggs) for a good sized blunt.
I think there are too many terms that mean different things in different parts to really have a good conversation about this.
Example:
slang in east tenn when i was in high school (only talking about 5$agram reggs)
dimebag=10$ worth of pot which equals 2 grams of bud
twenty sack=20$ worth of bud which is 4grams, 5 if yer friend is yer dealer
half=50$ which is 14g of bud
oz=85-90$ which is 28g of bud
bowl= a mechinism used on the tip of a pipe to hold about a half gram of bud
joint= cig papers used to roll up about 1gram of bud to be smoked
blunt= philli or swisher blunt cigar, cleaned out and filled full with bud (about 3-5g depending on size of blunt) only to be sealed back up and smoked
now the above was done in a sarcastic humoristic way so no flames on the stupidity of said post

Cannot believe that someone would think that a dime bag has a standard weight to it. It VARIES people. The better the ganj the smaller the sack. Just look at it, if you think it is worth a measly ten bucks then buy it, if not just argue with the guy that a dime is 3 grams and NO LESS!

Its not like a dime is a standard 3 grams or whatever, thats a crock of shit. Funny that people would argue over the weight of a dime bag for christ sake. Besides if you are buying weed from someone selling dime sacks, chances are it is garbage and half the weight is lumber and beans.
