Trying to post a video of a song im trying to get dance recomendations on in the edm section but when I past the url it doesn't show as a video just the url.

It is a YouTube video

In forums where you can post videos you should see a button on your text editor which looks like a film reel. Click it and paste the video link in the box.

An alternative is using the video tags.
