I had eye surgery about 24 hours ago and was wondering if it would be okay to hit the slopes a bit. It was basic LASIK surgery on one eye, had previously done the other. I'm taking some tylenol for pain and 2 types of eye drops (antibiotic & anti-inflammatory). The eye tears up a bit occasionally but I already see perfectly.

So, anyone got any ideas on the risk?

No way man, not a good idea at all. Increased blood pressure and pupil dilation are certainly not helpful for recovery from eye surgery. Wait at least a week, just so your vision isn't at any more risk than normal from cocaine use.

If you can't wait a week at least snort up the nostril under the eye you didn't get the surgery on and lubricate/flush out eye you did get surgery on afterward.

Dude if you cant wait a freaking week to do blow, then you have a problem, lol. Wait a week, let your perfect vision zone in on the powder, and enjoy.

^What the fuck would that do?

Stop the eye from getting irritated, soothe it. Keep foreign chemicals out of the eye which is located very close to the nostril. Infectious material would be flushed out before entering any cuts in the eye. If he has caused significant damage to nasal cavities, snorting could lead to infection, damage to sinuses, and nerves that would affect the eye which is located above that nostril most significantly leading to various complications.

What possible effect could it have on eye surgery recovery to do some blow? Makes no sense... your pupils are going to dilate / constrict based on the light anyway, so how would doing blow change this? What am I missing here?

That's kinda of what I was thinking as well. That's why I was considering it. If it was nose surgery then I wouldn't. I'm torn again.

OK, cocaine causes the following effects when used:

- Increased blood pressure
- Constricted blood vessels
- Dilated pupils
- Increased heart rate

How is any of this good for a healing wound, especially in the eye? Also, cocaine has cardiotoxic properties on its own, but many anti-inflammatories also increase the risk of heart issues. Combining the two probably isnt the best idea. I don't see why its even a question when it is one's eyesight that we're talking about. Personally, I can't think of any amount of cocaine I'd trade it for.
