I'm having complete shoulder replacement. what medications should i expect to receive after im let out of the hospital? im also disabled because of my other shoulder; it also needs to be replaced. I also have chronic pain in my neck, both hands. and both feet . and ive been on medications for all conditions ; im worried the medication they give me wont be strong enough for my pain, given my tolerance. ive been on 240 mg a day of oxycodone.

severe chronic pain

I Had the great experience in college playing football. when i reached 44 years old all that fun turned into intense chronic pain. every joint hurts , shoulders both need complete replacement. neck was fractured, and i have 4 bulging disks and ruptured disk L5. both hands and both feet ache ive been on all kinds of pain management medications. can someone please tell me or if anyone has experience, in severe chronic pain what drug or drugs help make pain in my life at least livable my doctor will prescribe whatever helps me im not sure anymore with all new drugs what would be the best too make life at least somewhat livable

We can't tell you that brother, we don't know what your doctor will or won't Rx and I'm sure it wouldn't be everything unless you have a sweet ass doctor. Your best bet is to ask the doc what he thinks is best, maybe try supplementing the oxycodone with some other medication (non-opioid) that could help. A muscle relaxant maybe?

They'll probably keep you on Oxycodone but increase your dosage unless you ask to be put on a different medication.
