Possible Effects of Drug Test Failure on Parole

SO here's the story. Basically, I completely forgot I have an appointment with my Parole officer tomorrow. I smoked heroin daily for about two weeks with my last dose being about 30 minutes ago. I have been on parole for about 15 months, and for the first 13 months, I was taking monthly random drug tests. I passed everyone for 13 months. I havent had one police contact. Ive paid all my fines and fees and Ive had the same job for 15 months.

I have an appointment with him tomorrow. I guess it just depends if he tells me to go take a test at the lab, which he very well may do. He took me off the random monthly testing 2.5 months ago and I havent had another pee test since. If I test, Im thinking I will fail. [Okay, we can discuss the legal ramifications of drug test failure in your situation, but not how to circumvent the testing itself. Thanks. --tobala]

My question is what do you guys think my po will do in this case. Ive done so damn well and I fucked up just once. I was actually considering just telling him straight up that I used once. That Ive done everything else perfect for 15 months but I used once and wanted to admit it instead of wasting the time and money of a drug test. What do you guys think?

OD isn't the right place to ask this.

Also, no one can answer this anyway, no one can tell you what another person will do. And with that said, you would have a better shot of answering this than any of us anyway, because you know your PO and we don't.

Please no more discussion on the specifics of beating drug tests. All further posts should be concerned with the possible ramifications of drug test passage or failure with regard to the OP's situation.

In brief, no one can predict what action the PO will take with regard to the almost certain drug-positive results should a drug test be administered tomorrow. But it's possible that there will be no drug test, so it's wait-and-see at this point.

If you've only had one violation, I seriously doubt you'd be revoked for a 'first' relapse. Probably just a warning, more drug tests, perhaps a work crew or short jail sanction .. That's how it works here anyway.
