Poppy Seeds

Ok, I know that if you eat poppy seeds before a drug test, you'll test positive for opiates, but are the seeds viable? If you plant the seeds that you buy in the store in the spice isle, will they grow?

Eating poppy seeds wont cause you to piss positve for opiates, you would have to eat more then you think for that to even be possible ... can you plant them? Yeah, as long as they are not baked they should grow - but they might not yeild much opium..

The guys wife was a nurse, she was fencing pain-killers from the hospital but didn't want anyone to know she was abusing her staff position that way, hence the story about a poppy seed bagel or whatever...
