Hi Bluelight people, not posted here in a hell of a long time, couple of years I reckon. Is good to be back
Just wanted to ask a few questions about tea made from poppy pods. I've been given around 25 pods from a friend, and he told me that to make them into a tea I should add enough water into a pan to cover all the pods, then leave it to simmer on low heat for an hour, then strain the liquid and drink. Never tried opium or poppies before but my friend has many times before so I trusted that this would work.
So I completed the process he told me, but after doing a bit of research on various forums including bluelight, a lot of people say that the pods should be crushed up into a mash before using them to make the tea. So I was wondering if my tea is still going to work, or if it's going to be a lower potency.
Other question is about my tolerance level. My friend told me to use all 25 pods and drink the whole tea. But again after reading through other posts people seem to say 5 - 10 pods is a strong dose. My friend has scored the poppies to obtain some resin for his own use for smoking though, not sure whether this will affect things. In addition, my tolerance is actually quite high - 900mg of oral morphine per day which is prescribed so I have that every day (not today though, thought I'd do the tea instead). So wondering if the whole 25 pods would be okay for my level of tolerance, or too high / too little even. I've drunk half of the tea so far, but going to leave the other half until I'm more confident that it's safe.
Final question - can I take Dihydrocodeine at the same time as poppy tea? From what I've read you get a reasonable histamine release from the pod tea and I don't want to add significantly to that. Have already taken an antihistamine anyways.
Cheers!
