Poo always stuck

Hi inusr to rectally administer morphine most days and sometimes would dig the constipation not out but j noticed if dig further sometimes poo gets stuck whilst it coming down laxatives or no laxatives I read somewhere that u shouldn't manually remove poo as stops yku pooing natural is that true
Also does the water absorb inside the rectumn or does it travel to the colon
