Pondimin...fenfluramine

has anyone taken pondimin...the diet drug that was discontunied or something. i looked on rxlist and seems pretty recreational any coments would be great.

Why do you feel it may be recreational? Do us a favor and give us a bit more info so we can help answer question. IF you were looking at the drug on RXlist, just cut and paste the critical info - like generic name, class of drug, dose, etc. If you want a good answer ask the question as well as you can.

alright...the bottle i have says Pondimin which rxlist says is fenfluramine
umm it also says..Pondimin (fenfluramine hydrochloride) is a controlled substance in Schedule IV. Fenfluramine is related chemically to the amphetamines (why i think it maybe recreational)

I took this stuff for awhile way back when. I say no recreational value, except maybe to stay awake while driving and not very far. It mostly makes you thirsty and cranky.
It was created to take the place of phen/fen which they discovered by accident caused heart patients to loose weight. They supposedly took the dangerous part of the combination out and had this left over. It's not really anything to mess with as they have proven heart valve damage from taking this or its family of drugs and not proven any fun while taking it. Do you see my point????

3-trifluoromethylethylamphetamine. I've never had it, but it supposedly releases serotonin much the same as MDMA.
