I like the general idea.

Huh? Quite the contrary. My reason for putting this up was because I actually consider Fight Club an under rated movie. I was mulling over a write-up for Bluelight of 1982's Conan as not only an under-rated movie, but a highly maligned one. But I would probably take the responses to that too personally and so I've not been brave enough to write a critical review of her for the 14+ months or so since it occurred to me to do so.

I apologize that both of those are violent films - this was not my intent.

I had some time on my hand this evening and I was musing that....did I really want to be friends with someone (IRL) who actively disliked Fight Club? I thought, "Why not go for it?"

A couple of hours in there are already 6 votes and they're 100% in favor of Fight Club! Go Blue Light.

Golly did I wrestle with this question.

One of my maxim's is that if something stings when you hear it, it's possibly true.

Social experiments? I have to express puzzlement at what you meant by that. However I'd rather not put you to the trouble of defining it, and I certainly had a gut level understanding of what you probably meant and so hear goes.

I don't think that I like social experiments. It just sounds manipulative to me. One of the worst sorts of theft that I feel that humans commonly do to each other are thefts of each other's time. And yet when we catch each other doing this, we coddle each other.

I can tell you what I do like. I like data analysis. I like having access to a trove of data (even social data) and being able to draw my own conclusions.

But wait.....sometimes alternative living arrangements are what people call social experiments. Is that what you mean? Oh golly that's about one of my favorite things ever. I mean that I flat out LOVE communal living. I hope that's what you meant but I'm open to learning more about what you meant if you wanted to outline it.
