I came across a batch of small poppy pods, that looked really clean and nice. They felt a bit waxy, so I suspected some kind of chemical has been used on them. They gave a typical poppy high and everything was fine. Then, the next day, I had a slight fever that went away with some ibuprofen. Haven't gotten a fever from pods before, so these probably had some kind of poisonous preservative or anti-fungal. I was wondering if others have the same kind of experiences with some pods? If your dried pods look too perfect, they've probably been sprayed with something and you should be cautious with them!
