Now guys, i have no information on what PMA is. I can however tell you that it is the strongest shit I've had ever! It is just like E but like 5 times stronger! I roll just about every weekend and half a pill(pma) floored my ass. And two of my friends who are regular users of mdma passed out! So all you People out there who got their hands on some pure love or PL's, please be careful! Believe me, half a pill is enough, don't be a hero!

sorry, don't have a testing kit. I didn't think I needed it since I only buy from one person, and i trust him. But I will get one soon though.

for fucks sake... dont trust anyone, he might have given it to you in good faith but how does he know? coz his dealer told him?!? i bet he didnt test it, and if he did then he lied to you
as you can tell i have run out of patience with people like you, that think that "bad stuff only happens to other people and i dont need to test" grrrr
i am beginning to think people as willingly naive as you deserve all you get. please do get a testing kit and please do use it.

There's no reason to get upset. And no, I'm not one of those ppl who think their invincible and shit. I don't have a testing kit,(i will) but I was rather careful in taking something new. Like I said instead of doing the whole pill like some of my friends, I only did half a pill. The only reason why i got it was because I'd heard it was super strong. At the time I couldn't have cared less if it wasn't E. Even if i knew it was PMA, as I suspected, I would've done it anyway. So please don't get pissed at me, alright? The only reason why I started this post was to warn people who either don't care that they're taking PMA or wants to try PMA. A little warning so that they don't end up like my friends.
P.S. about my dealer, we've been friends for yrs, b4 he started dealing. and he did warn me repeately about how strong the pills are. He was also the one who suggested that i only take half and my girl take 1/4.

ok sorry to go off at you personally but realise that you were about the hundreth person who has said "um i dont have a tester but im going to get one honest" to me this week, and combining that with talk about taking PMA got right up me...
all i care about is that now you know, there's only about 7000 other bluelighters who have to learn now, lets hope its not the hard way like you...
oh and get your dealer to get one while you're at it... then maybe you can start "trusting" him again

Alright, just ordered an EZ-testing kit. Well, I feel better. As soon as I get it, I'll test pure love and post the results.
And don't worry 'bout going off on me, it only shows that you care about others. And yes, a world full of idiots is a frustrating place to live. Sorry, but got no where else to go.
 
PLEASE PLEASE!!! PMA is a killer.. why take the risk, there are much safer ways of getting out of it. Your friends passed out... they are lucky they didn't die...
PLEASE TEST!!! I know of people that just pop pill after pill in a weekend, and forget what it is they are taking... if they did this with PMA it could have killed them, personally I want my friends to stick around so I am getting them to start testing. I hope we get the answer to the PMA test result thing soon.

please read up on PMA, if you take a pill and it has more in it than you think... we are about having fun here, not messing our futures up (or anyone elses for that matter).

Seriously..didn't you hear that PMA just killed two in Chicago?!!! I am sorry if I am going to sound like a hippocrate because I too drop "e", but I cannot stand all of the stories anymore of how "I took 4 hits and then a nitrous ballon and rolled face for about 12hrs.!!" It's not a game and I remember that everytime I decided to roll..which by the way is not every weekend, how do you all afford your habits? It's time to grow up!!
 
ok, after readin this, i know that pma is bad for you. but can someone please explain how people die from it? dehydration? wrong mixture of drugs? or?... thank you.

PMA, paramethoxyamphetamine, 4-methoxyamphetamine. Paramethoxyamphetamine (PMA) is methoxylated phenethylamine derivate that is usually made from isaldehyde or anethole (both obviously quite easily available). PMA has been used illicitly in Australia since late 1994 and has been associated at least with 10 deaths. During the period September 1995 to January 1997, six PMA-related deaths have occured in South Australia.
All these PMA deaths involved oral administration. Toxic doses seems to vary between 180-450 mgs (normal dose 50-80 mg). In these cases usually several tablets or capsules were ingested. Tablets or capsules ingested contained 50-90 mg of PMA. Altough MDMA was of significance in two of the cases and amphetamine and methamphetamine in one each, the significant factor in each case is the toxic effects of PMA. PMA would appear to be more toxic than other common amphetamine derivates, especially in combination with other amphetamines.
Death is usually associated with severe hyperthermia (usual body temperature over 41 C) associated with rhabdomyolysis (breakdown of skeletal muscle) and cardiovascular problems, like cardiac arrest or intracerebral hemorrhage.

basically this is a far stronger chemical than MDMA and even one pill has been known to kill people. it is dangerous mainly because of its unpredictability. definitely not worth the risk.
 
There seems to be a lot of confusion about this PMA issue. Notably that link to Rhodium's site was for PMMA, not PMA. Shulgin mentions PMA (aka 4-MA) here: http://www.lycaeum.org/books/pihkal/pihkal097.html (i believe jb posted this elsewhere). Judging by his descriptions of the effects I can't imagine that these PLs contain this stuff. If people are getting powerful, long rolls it just doesn't jive with Sulgin's duration listing: short. Are these then MDA?

the confusion goes as far as the authorities. the police reports in australia will mention PMA in one breath and 4-MTA in another, which are two discreet substances. still trying to get to the bottom of that one, although the culprit here is most likely PMA.
as for these "Pure Loves" all the trip reports i am hearing sound very much like strong MDA. i'm thinking maybe a bit of minor league group hysteria is happening, blaming anything that feels "odd" on the killer drug PMA.
ah well, better to be cautious than dead... if only we knew how the bloody things tested.
 
um..just a quick word here, but PMA can be just as viable a high as any other. the problem comes with dosage. like DXM, PMA seems to be very dosage sensitive, and has very different results between dosages that are very close. i believe phreeX has tried it (really? thats a shock

)and siad that if you like opiate-like highs, then you will like PMA. it all comes down to safety. like DXM, PMA can be a good high, but obviously if people are looking for MDMA, then they arent going to be satisfied with the results.
my point being, dont kill the messenger. dont knock PMA before you have tried it. get a testing kit. and BE CAREFUL.

I have done two tests on the dark dark brown PL's...
My friend who usually takes 2-2 1/2 rolls, took 1/2 a PL and was messed up for 12 hrs. Not really trippy, alot of energy...could not sleep at all, euphoria of X.
I was given the other 1/2 to test...The only marking left is the "P"...It looks just like a typed P. Also it is dark dark brown...I have never seen X like this. I have seen white with brown specks...but never like this.
TEST RESULTS:

I scraped the usual amount...the pill being brown makes things difficult to tell. But, as soon as the liquid hit it the liquid stayed clear-the bits stayed brown....within 5 seconds the liquid was a cloudy brown....no smoke. After 15 seconds it was black.

Since I am a bit disturbed by this pill I will not be taking it...So I cut a chunk off the diameter of a pin head but the depth of the pill-(A small slice of the pill pie if you will)
As soon as the liquid hit it...it began to bubble...no smoke...just bubble like alka-seltzer...within seven seconds the chunk had a reddish tint to it and the liquid around it was slowly turning brown..By 15 secs the chunk was still bubbling and the liquid had turned dark brown!!
I am sending the rest to dancesafe...I really want to know what this is.
