Misc plugging modafinil -- any thoughts?

Anyone have experience plugging modafinil?

I enjoy occasional use of 200mg orally, but would like to know whether it's worth plugging.

i.e. any benefits, drawbacks, suggested dosages

I apologize if this thread is in the wrong place, but I just thought I'd start asking.

I guess my first thought would be don't bother.

But if you enjoy modafinil I understand your curiosity about a better ROA. I couldn't find anything about the actual bioavailability of modafinil with a rectal ROA but I did find this:

Modafinil induces the cytochrome P450 enzymes CYP1A2, CYP2B6 and CYP3A4, as well as inhibiting CYP2C9 and CYP2C19 in vitro. It may also induce P-glycoprotein, which may affect drugs transported by Pgp, such as digoxin. The bioavailability of Modafinil is greater than 80% of the administered dose.

The administration of Modafinil given through nasal delivery results in an increase in the amount of desired active product being absorbed because it is not subject to the higher levels of metabolism or excretion as Modafinil administered in an oral formation.

So it would appear that modafinil has a faster onset, and perhaps a higher BA intranasally. I don't know if it would be the same rectally, but with most drugs where it's better in the nose, it's also better down below. I can only assume that though. Try reading through the study above and check the doses they used for intranasal use because they were much lower than 100-200mg. Hope this helps!

Go ahead and try it at least once, if at least to satisfy your curiosity. Same reason with snorting Klonopins, but this isn't lower bioactive.

I tend to agree with nasal/rectal commonalities.

I'll try it a few times and report back...

modafinil is like caffeine that lasts a long ass time. also even if you binge for days, you still dont get peripheral effects, but thats basically the only good thing about it. it can make you nauseous sometimes but thats because of the pill digesting in your stomach. its also not worth plugging, or even abusing. just get some dexedrine or speed or something.

Unfounded and not harm reduction, respectively.

I found plugging modafinil to be less efficacious than I had hoped. I've tried 100mg each time and it doesn't equate to 200mg oral.
