Misc Please help, question about Promethazine?

I was looking on google for information and this site looked like it had some people who knew their stuff. I have a friend who took four 12.5mg pills over a period of 2ish hours. He took the first pill around 6:45, then the second around 7:15, and then 2 at the same time at 8:30ish. About an half an hour later he started to feel really weak and light headed. He passed out for a few seconds (about 5) and his friend called me freaking out. I stayed on the phone with him until about 10:45, in which he said he felt completely fine now and wanted to got to bed. It's 12:02am now and I'm really paranoid that he's going to die. I'm sorry if this site isn't really used for this but I need to know if he's going to be okay. He is 5'11" and around 140 pounds. Please help.
 
He's fine man, he's just sedated. Promethazine knocks you the fuck out. Now if he was combining it with a strong opiate he would already be dead. Your friends fine. You can't really OD on it, it just knocks u out. Your friend was trying to get a buzz or what? Don't take promethazine to get high, that's retarded

Thank you so much, I really hope so. Yes he was trying to get high off of it. I'm just really concerned that he passed out/fainted, I mean it doesn't help at all that I have extreme paranoia and anxiety, but come on. Though he did say he didn't feel weak or light headed when I was on the phone with him, he was just really tired. I guess I'll just have to see what happened in the morning :(
 
Does he have any other medical conditions. If your that worried and think he's going to die call a ambulance. But if he just took promethazine passing out is a side effect. Are you sure he didn't take anything else.

No he doesn't have any medical conditions, and I'm 100% positive he didn't take it with anything else. It's already been about 2 hours since I hung up with him to let him go to sleep, so I don't think I should call an ambulance right now. Plus like I said, I have really bad anxiety and I tend to over exaggerate so I just needed to make sure if I'm being over dramatic or not.
 
Okay OP the other posters are correct about it not being that dangerous a situation. I hope your friend is fine and tell him to make an account on Bluelight so he can get high fully informed and as safely as possible in the future. I'm going to close this now but your friend is lucky he has someone like you looking out for him :D
