Hello,

Please have a look at the chart below:

reagent tests.jpg

These are the results I got from testing my 2c-c, 2c-e, and 2c-i using the Simon's and Marqui tests. According to this these results are the normal results for these drugs (i.e. they're legit), but I just wanted to get a second opinion. The Marqui test doesn't seem that ambiguous but the simon's is. According to the site linked above, there should be no reaction with any of these drugs to Simon's but it consistently turned a light purple/pink (this seemed more a reaction of the green label to the yellow label though but it's hard to say). Also, notice how in the case of 2c-c and 2c-i there are dark specks. These are small clumbs of the drug which, originally white, turned dark (though the reagent solution itself didn't). I don't know if this is normal. Furthermore, it seemed that the only reason this didn't happen with the 2c-e is because it managed to get completely diluted into the reagent solutions whereas the other two 2cs stayed somewhat clumped.

Anyway, I just want to know if this looks normal to the experienced eye.

Also, I have a Mecke test as well but didn't use it because the paged linked to above doesn't describe the Mecke test. Does anyone know a good site that explains the Mecke test (or just what results to expect)? It would be good to get some example images too.

You posted the same test result for both Simon's 2c-c and 2c-i.

All the specks are in the same places anyway.

Yeah, I duplicated the image. It's not a photograph... and the results were the same.

EDIT - YIKES! god Simons and Robadope confused!

Simons should not turn color at all when used on a 2C, as it only reacts to secondary amines, turning blue on addition of a secondary amine.

Robadope should turn salmon/pink with a 2C.

Remember that both of those reagents require use of the buffer solution; the test is not as simple as the other two.

In anycase, take a look at my test results thread, it should be of some help to you.
