So lately I've been thinking about taking the CELTA course so I can get the hell out of Seattle and do something with my life. Just wondering if anybody could give me any advice on this. Any pre-reading books I should buy before I sign up? Or pre anything for that matter to do before I take the plunge?
Also was wondering how the job market is doing for English teachers abroad. I travel in Asia frequently (mostly Hong Kong and China proper) but I am open to other possibilities. I've been reading Z Y G G Y's thread about teaching abroad but would like some more direct advice and don't want to get lost in the discussion or take over his thread. Thanks.
P.S. I've been scrutinizing the Cambridge site for a full list of books that I would need for the course. So far I can't find one and I am still looking. Does anybody know where I can find a full list or am I being ridiculously retarded. Thanks.
