Hi,

Are you planning to take a psychedelic within the next few weeks in any context? Before you do, please join this Maastricht University study to help us better understand the role of memories in psychedelic experiences!

For more information and to participate in this study, see https://soto.maastrichtuniversity.nl/soto/php/gui/register.php?study=autopsy.

At Maastricht University, we are running a study on the role of memories in psychedelic experiences. We invite anyone over 18 years of age who speaks fluent English and is planning to take a long-acting psychedelic drug such as psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, or ayahuasca in any context in the near future to participate. You will be asked to complete three online surveys, one before and two after you take the psychedelic. The first survey takes around 10 minutes to complete.

Recruitment for this study has started and will run until the end of October, approximately. There is no compensation for participation. This study has been approved by the Ethics Review Committee Psychology and Neuroscience at Maastricht University (ERCPN-278_36_02_2024). We do not condone, promote or encourage the use of psychedelics, and you should only take part in this study if you are going to take a psychedelic anyway.

This study is coordinated by me, Samuli Kangaslampi, postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Neuropsychology and Psychopharmacology, Maastricht University, Netherlands, and the responsible researcher is Prof. Kim Kuypers. For any questions, I can be reached at [email protected] or [email protected], or ask in this thread.

Thank you very much if you choose to participate!
