Piracetam & Phenibut totally blocking DMT

I noticed piracetam and DMT, do NOT mix, not only are the effects almost totally blocked, but i've had a few really scary experiences, causing panic through the roof, like whatever the DMT was doing was going to the wrong area's of the brain, hearing my own voice in the radio (which is common with DMT anyway) but, something different about it, that i cannot explain but it was totally "wrong".

Now i've noticed with phenibut, same thing, almost totally blocks effects. The good thing is, it doesn't cause the freakyness from piracetam (i stopped taking piracetam, i don't want it interfering with my 'normal' DMT levels, just does not seem good). I've also noticed, i've smoked DMT and I feel an extreme sedation with phenibut, there is a relaxed feeling from DMT anyway (dopamine release, i am guessing by the way it feels, and makes me horny) but wow - on phenibut (dose dependent) i've smoked DMT and was so sedated it felt like when you take too much GHB and loose all motor control, a "g-out" but fully conscious.

I doubt anyone has any explanation.. there's not much research into what DMT does in the brain..

Heh, i just got done smoking some massive amount of DMT (took phenibut waay earlier) and it didn't do shit besides sedate me.. strange shit..

This is really interesting to me. I recently tried DMT for the first time and didn't get much of an effect. At the time i put this down to poor smoking practice; I wasn't prepared for how truly nasty tasting the smoke was and may have lost some of it by coughing early.

The effect i got was a slight dreamy feeling where everything felt slightly special and spiritual somehow, though this was a slight effect.

I was at the time (and still am) on a course of taking about 500mg of piracetam daily. Perhaps this was the cause of my failure instead?

A friend of mine tried the same amount of DMT from the same source and got far more significant effects. He wasn't taking piracetam at the time.

I realise that this is only circumstantial evidence at best. I'd be very interesting to hear from anyone else out there who has noticed this effect, or who has successfully used DMT whilst taking piracetam daily.

Yeah thats probably the reason, if you stop taking piracetam for a few days then try the DMT it'll probably work great.

I noticed with lower doses of piracetam it didn't have the "FREAKOUT" effect, but with higher doses.. ouch, no more.

I also noticed when I took LSD the euphoria was greatly enhanced on phenibut. I think its dopamine related. It doesn't seem to reduce the psychedelic effects of anything else but DMT. I'd guess it would also boost MDxx's euphoric effects..

I even noticed some strange potentiation of dextroamphetamine w/phenibut.

I think with piracetam, and probably phenibut, it has something to do with increasing the left-right brain communication. DMT seems to allow your mind to "separate" more and run on their own. Piracetam seems to fight this effect.

well, i am on ~2,000mg piracetam p/d for months at a time and get full effects from a standard dose of a DMT / b.caapi smoke mixture...

Phenibut is a GABA agonist. Piracetam has shown to enhance the effect of some drugs that increase the effect/level of GABA in the human body.

There's evidence that Phenibut is a GABA-B (partial)agonist, but I don't know about it's GABA-A status... though I doubt it has much effect there.
