I know that taking piracetam and alcohol tends to potentiate the effects of alcohol (and a ton of other drugs from those that didn't know). I've been taking about 3g piracetam and 2g choline bitartrate for the last week as a nootropic to help with my school work and also to revert a loss of magic in my mdma experience (since I've been rolling for a while). Planning to roll this weekend.

Is there a problem taking piracetam and alcohol at the same time, in terms of brain damage? A friend recently told me the combination was a bad idea but wasn't sure if there was any truth to this. I quite enjoy it.

I had always thought that piracetam lowered my alcohol tolerance but never really thought too much of it, in my mind it was just placebo! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed this!

In response to your post, I don't see why there would be any real negative effects, the two don't have negative interactions so maybe you can just be happy that you're able to save money and get drunk off less booze!

It seems like it increases the effects of everything, including alcohol. It also makes me really clear headed through things like weed. But I don't see any reason why a Nootropic (I.E. - Memory enhancing smart drug) would have a negative interaction with alcohol, unless it increases blood flow to the brain. I don't think that is one of its mechanisms, and even if it was, the damage increase would be minimal. But you'd probably want to take it easy at first.
