Pill smelling like licorice

One of the ingredients used in making MDMA has a very pungent licorice or aniseed type smell and often pills will smell like this.

However it should be noted that the simple presence of an aniseed smell does NOT equate to your pill containing MDMA.

Its possible that it wasnt made properly and the smell remains and its also possible that aniseed oil was added to the mix to fool people into believing it was an MDMA pill.........this is something that has been discussed in Australian Drug forum on a few occasions.

never assume that because it smells like aniseed that it is therefore MDMA u are getting............always use a pill tester.

If you read the thread I suggested then I would suggest the conclusion you would most likely come to would be that it means nothing at all.............it might as well smell like chocolate.
 
The licorice smell is most likely from by-product(s) from the chemical reaction used to make MDMA.

Not safrole. Not 3,4-methylenedioxyphenylpropan-2-one. Maybe 3,4-methylenedioxyphenylpropan-2-ol.
 
I am not not sure about smell but i have heard a rumour that pills that have a licoricey taste when eaten contain K. is this true ne1. because every time i have tasted it i have had the groggy K. feeling.
 
There is only one way to know for sdure what is in your pills..........test them.

A licorice smell doesnt mean anything for sure.
 
That smell is the camphore/saffrole smell, from what i know, when the pills do smell, it would either be an incomplete reaction/cleaning process or aniseed oil added to the mixture to make them smell... i had some Beige Lexus' that SMELT HARDCORE, they were good bix mind you, but the smell was a fair bit overwhelming, put it this way, i had them in a ciggarette tin, inside baggies, and there has been nothing in the tin for a month now, it still smells like the pills, just as bad as it did a month ago!

sheesh..thats true but every one i know whop has had k. claims the effects to be most similar to being drunk.....?
