My friend just had a pill given to her. It was round with an X or cross covering one side. The other side was blank. We tested it and it turned straight to a redish lavender color. Anybody have any ideas?

In Denmark they are Called X-men, pretty love pill, but really nuthin compared to quality Xtc - eat it,if it works, its good, if you die, well bad luck......

Cut the crap, reddish or any other color other than straight to dark purple means your pill does NOT contain an Ecstasy like substance, mda, mdma, mdea.

if it is red then it is an opiate. we had similar pills in sydney and they were f'kd!!

Hey thanks! We had no intentions of taking the pill! My wife said she thought it was PMA because it turned that color. Thanks again!!!!!

'paredrine' is p-hydroxyamphetamine, rather closely related to PMA, and PMA could test similarly. chemically, i can see NO reason why PMA wouldn't react with Marquis reagent (although i've heard more than once that it doesn't).

your pill could be PMA or some relative; it could just as easily be an opiate, since opiates do provide similar results. in north america opiates (except DXM) in E tabs are extremely rare. at any rate, not doing it was a good idea.

roche: my own experience says that PMA does not react to Marquis, but i couldnt confirm 100% that the substance i tested was in fact PMA.
